I am currently considering buying a car from a used car dealer.
He has given me a cartel report and produced a full main dealer service history for the car. Neither have shown anything however I want to get it checked independently before I purchase it.
I am just wondering if all dealers will allow this. I will pay a deposit and purchase it subject to the car being passed ok.

I don't see why a dealer would have an issue with you having your mechanic inspect a car they are selling, unless they have something to hide. You should also contact the main dealer who serviced it and verify what they did to the car.
