No no no. You are wrong! Some of these foreign dramas are great.

Borgen, The Killing and The Bridge are absolutely brilliant. It is a shame that some people dont watch them because of the subtitles.

Exactly. Another classic example is Das Boot. Could someone explain to me how the hell exactly that's supposed to work if it isn't in German?? :D

I've been on this and the previous thread for a long time, I know what it's about. If you want me to be more specific, it's annoying to have someone post a bitchy comment aimed directly at your post, it's also bad manners.

You reminded me of a TA and I posted about it. I'm not responsible if you choose to take it as an attack. It wasn't intended as an attack on you any more than anyone else who does it.

People who have to contradict everything, or contradictory people, or just people who love getting a rise out of people, whatever way to look at that, but anyway, school reports are out this week and they go -

Them: "What were you like in school, I bet you were a lick?"

    Me: "I don't remember"

Them: "Ahh the licks always say that, I bet you do remember, the licks always remember"

Right now I'm thinking I wish I could forget that conversation ever happened, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for bulb wrecking pisstakes :(

I have horrible anxiety today, and can't get through to a department in the hospital. I don't know what time my appointment is at and they won't answer :(

Unbearable people. They always think they're funny because in their mind "being funny" and "getting a reaction" are the same thing.

The point when you are chewing gum and it starts to disintigrate in your mouth.

Tinnitus. I don't get a ringing in my ears but just a buzzing in my right ear. I have it every once in a while for a week or two but it has been going on for weeks this time and is driving me mental, it sounds like there's a blue bottle inside my ear

Felt faint so stopped in the garage on the way to the bus stop. Paid €4 for a tiny little wrap :( got a bottle of water too. As I'm standing in the queue an old lady is taking ages with her stuff.

Bus goes by. Now I have to wait 37 minutes for the next one.

The price of really simple food has gotten crazy. Or maybe it always was. It shouldn't cost so much though.

Turning up on time for a doctors appointment but still having to wait 30 mins to get in. :(

It's ridiculous. I wouldn't have paid it, but I really needed it.

There must be so much wastage, can't imagine they fly off the shelves.

That "cheerleader" song, it sounds half arsed, as if everyone reluctantly had to make a song so they put minimal effort into it.
    It just sounds lazy.

I'm sick of hearing it played over and over.

I'm also sick of all the radio stations saying that don't play songs repeatedly. Yes ye fcuking do! Head wreckers!

I'm too lazy to look that up on youtube, but it sounds like something that would trivially annoy me while I'm sitting here in the barbers listening to some shyte song on the radio, "green light of the world" (that's all he keeps saying anyway), waiting for my turn while the young lad is getting one of those Hitler haircuts/Conor McGregor efforts and I'm wondering where the fcuk did I go wrong??

It's 'cool' now apparently. That doesn't change my opinion that it still looks like they lost a fight with a lawnmower

Cutting the Lone Parents' payment next month will take 6000 single mothers out of the welfare trap and they'll have to find work. No it won't, most of them will have another baby and will requalify for this payment.

Sometimes they're so mean about it too. My definition of large seems contrary to theirs. Rolls that are hard as rocks and as dry as the desert, soggy brownish lettuce and you'd swear they were counting each grating of cheese too.

Work canteens can be really bad too. My latest lunch consisted of some tasteless dry chicken breast that was smaller than your average goujon, two scoops of lukewarm mashed potatoes and four cold tiny broccoli stalks. €7.90! Only for I was starving and that the old lady on the till is so friendly, I would have ****ed the tray against the wall.:(

Anything to extract money from idiots that will send little johnny and little jenny into school with a bigger and more expensive gift for the teacher than all the other children, so the adults can lord it over each other

It's cringe worthy to have to witness really, instilling that "keeping up with the jones" mentality so early in children.

Supermacs serving you in the evening but before you get the food they decide to close up the shop and starting cleaning. Then they inform you it's OK to sit at a table while someone is mopping the floor around your table. If they're closed they shouldn't be serving you.

One particular fella in my office who thinks he's the resident expert on health & fitness and pipes up with his views anytime someone mentions the gym and nutrition even though he really hasn't a clue.

He's extremely condescending especially towards women and anytime they mention a new plan of theirs he pipes up with 2 cents in a macho fashion putting them down assuming he knows better .

I'm quite timid in the office so haven't challenged him yet but I can see an imminent face off where I go to town on him and call him out on all the BS he spouts.

Not so trivial. Some local scumbags, 5 kids, both parents have criminal records, never did an honest days work in their lives. Getting rent allowance, flew off to Portugal today. My husband works his ass off and we can't afford a holiday this year but they have a foreign holiday every year. There's something seriously fcuked up with the system.

Not so trivial but happens a lot, those who drive on secondary and narrow country roads as if they were motorways. What are you supposed to do when you meet them driving at speed towards you? Turn your car into a Harry Potter car and fly up, up and away off the road or into the nearest field out of their way!!!
