astra 1.4 16v engine trouble

i recently replaced the engine in an opal astra now it will run for a few seconds then cut off ive checked everything twice then today i started the engine in the same way without the chip in the key it started run for a few seconds and cut out. any thoughts anyone

Did you fit yourown ecu ?? If you did maybe make sure you didnt bend any of the pins in it.
If you didnt you will have to other than that make sure all your plugs are connected.
Have you a spare key you could try ??
