My MIL has asked me to sell her old golf that has just failed the NCT. I don't have time, money or inclination to do the repairs. Any idea what a 97 1.9D Golf with 226kmiles on it is worth, if anything?
Needs door sill repair, brake lines, a wheel bearing and bushes.

    Thanks

Might get couple of hundred off a breaker. Not much more. The high tax & no nct are against you plus not many like the thoughts of structural repair (rust) oh and the mileage is Pretty high.

Toss it up on donedeal and adverts with a few snaps and an overview of the nct fails.
Someone might buy it as a donor car.
