Lol, James Cameron's acting and line delivery still as bad as his Entourage days I see.

    Pathetic attempt to manipulate fans.

Well if Cameron likes it I think us fans will. This will surprise people.

Yeah but he also sang praises for Terminator 3 and Alien Vs Predator before they came out. Then back tracked years later and said they where pretty terrible.

Here's what he said about terminator 3 before it came out.
"In one word : Great. There was a small part of me that hoped it wasn't good - but another part of me hoped it succeeded. And it did. And I'm so glad it did. Jonathon's made a great movie. Arnold's in great form. I really like what he's done with it".

So I'd take what he says in that video with a great big spoon of salt.

Retrospectively Terminator 3 is not a bad film. It's a bit cartoonish in comparison to it's predecessors but on the whole it's a decent film with a fantastic ending that did the franchise justice.

    Salvation paled in comparison.

You'd need a lot more than a spoon when it comes to Cameron and "his approval" on Terminator sequels.

Still looking forward to this, it has Emilia Clarke, Arnie, robots, guns & explosions. Just turn off your brain going in and it will be grand. Exactly what these films are meant to be.

Im afraid you have glossed over the highlight.

    All the better IMO.

Seen this earlier - whatever about this film, Arnie still has it and can still deliver a line. He was clearly having a ball here...

The bit where he tells the guy in the truck to "Get out!" :p

He's putting in a serious shift promoting this movie. Is it because the film is actually alright and he really believes in it? Or is it a big push to make the movie a hit before anyone realises it doesn't quite cut the mustard? Seems to have worked for the latest Jurassic Park movie.

If Terminator Genisys flops Arnies film career will be dead and buried.

That one with Stallone was pretty good. Arnie is just making films for fun at this point and clearly having a great time doing it - fair play to him I say!

Speaking of Stallone, they need to make the Prophecy come true though!

    :p

I can't see it flopping even if it's a bad film, it won't reach Jurassic World numbers but the nostalgia buzz for the first two films and the fact they made it 12A so all the dad's can bring their kid's too it, it make some money.

I'm expecting a turkey to be fair, Arnie is really on a PR save job here and a Terminator film without bloody violence isn't a Terminator film for me that's why I admire what Warner Brothers did with Mad Max Fury Road, they knew they lose serious amounts of money without the kiddie audience by not making it a 12a but MM like Terminator shouldn't be a kiddie friendly film. (MMFR made a decent 340 million but still has Japan and China to go, plus Terminator is a bigger franchise so they can't say it wouldn't make money with a 15a cert).

I'm at least hoping for a fun thrill ride and not another Terminator Salvation.

What do people think of Emilia Clarke? I've only seen her in Game of Thrones, of course, and have never thought her to be that great an actress. She's essentially the female version of Fit Kit Harrington.

Shes miscast as Sarah Connor also shes looks about 14.

She's the new hip thing right now (as almost everyone on GOT is) but she hasn't done anything really outside one Jude Law film. She's a pretty face and will appeal to young men.

I agree with Simon she looks a little too young to play a battle harden Sarah Connors but lets be honest the studio ain't making it for die hard Terminator fans. This is been made for kid's and teenagers, so they hire a good looking cast and throw Arnie in there and a ton of CGI and hope it pulls in a good box office before everyone realises its rubbish.

The fact that Arnie mentioned on Graham Norton last night that although the terminator has been living with humans for quite a while now, he still has awkward interactions while trying to 'be human', this Arnie says, provides the comic relief in the movie.
And on that note, thanks but no thanks..

Clarke plays Connor?! I will admit that I've been avoiding watching trailers because I want to go in cold (if I see it), so didn't realize that. Terrible casting, as someone mentioned. She doesn't have the screen presence to play her and she definitely doesn't look battle hardened.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but is this supposed to be set after the second movie?

Agreed that it's fashionable to have the GoT actors in things, but, and I know this will be way off topic, but I'd love to see Masie Williams in more things! She seems the only young actor to be able to act.

Yeanope, It's set befofter the firsecond movie.

    Time-travel, yo!

(more seriously: it seems to be mostly set during the first movie. Clarke is playing a T1-aged Sarah Conner).
