No wonder you hate putting fuel in the pesky merc....:pac:

Had no idea about Bp, sorry to see him go. This forum really can't afford to lose many more regulars, whether you like them or not, its all of us as a group that make the forum. People start leaving in droves and then it'll become like the hockey forum:pac:

Hopefully he'll be back and can we not all just be friends

I'd regularly have a minor strop at what people say, like whoever it was this morning saying I'd a plethora of issues with the Accord, and nine times out of ten, leave it and come back and reasoned minds intervened

With the thread that bp left due to, he essentially kept saying black was white, and got frustrated at being told it was not, as well as some questions as to how his car was taxed.

I reckon though he'll be back tbh

Full tank gets me 300 miles average, I'd say TFB gets more!

This place really is going down, so many nice, genuine, interesting regulars are leaving, with very few newbies to fill their boots.

I'm of the thinking that the rest of people that post in motors are just people who got lost from After Hours.... high horsery, bar stool talk etc...

The least I've ever put in is 20 and that's usually for a mid week top up :pac:

I just fill a couple of times a week. Once I even put petrol in my Bora 3 times in one day. :P

Hounded by particular posters. What ever the wrong or the right of the point that was being argued, certain posters came out looking like nasty pieces of work IMHO. There's even a little gloat fest at the end of the thread.

Anyway, hopefully he'll be back for the banter at some stage.

Not quite sure who you're referring to here tbh, but im going to have a stab in the dark and guess it's myself.

There was no gloating whatsoever, certainly not from myself. I even said he's a good poster, and he does contribute a lot, but he was simply caught out, it was a simple case of changing around facts to win an argument, which is frankly petty, then because of that, close your account?

I'd welcome him back, I never intended to come across like that or have the chap close his account, who cares what way who taxes what at the end of the day, it was the blatant not being honest, then being smug about it that rattled me.

    Sorry folks.

Relax lad. Like you say you weren't one of the gloaters at the end of the thread. My comments were definitely not aimed at you.

That's all I'll say on it now. Someone closed a boards account, happens all time.

lol, after mentioning people were gloating and looking like masty pieces of work, pot kettle black come to mind.

The lad was rambling abut stuff he knew nothing about, was on a high horse, was rumbled and closed his account. I'm commenting as I posted 2nd last in that thread so presume you are directing your bile at me in a less than straight manner.

that's all I'll say on it now

How is it even physically possible to boot three tanks of fuel through a Bora in one day? If 'twas my yoke I'd say, well... :pac:

So i'm looking to source some 235/45/18 tyres and they are somewhat hard to come by, hence the asking price is a bit steep for the tyres I want (Eagle F1 or Ultrac Vorti), does anyone know if its okay to change to a 225/40/18 or what the difference would be as they are similarly easier to source?

Over an inch in diameter smaller, wouldn't dream of it tbh.

Lads, what kind of money is a 2006 1.2 petrol clio (new shape) with 80,000km worth (new NCT)? In fair condition. I'd be thinking they'd be doing well to get 3500 for it.

    (I know, I know, it's a very vague...looking for general answers though!)

That'd be a thing of nothing width wise so fine.
You can expect harsher ride though!

As augeo said it will affect your speedo slightly!
Wouldn't be a problem with me at all as it would be miniscule.

Might leave the wheel well looking a bit empty too.

235/40 then might be an option - seems to be good few about in that range that dont cost the earth :)

Front left indicator doesn't work on the Punto. I thought I'll replace the bulb, easy peasy, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Each headlight has a different indicator bulb holder and turns out the left one doesn't work. Swapped the bulbs to make sure. :(
