Albums that always remind me of Galway.
Not necessarily by Galway artists but recorded here or have a strong connection to Galway.
    My top 3:

Fisherman's Blues always reminds me of late '80's/early 90's Galway.

I thought The Stunning were from Clare? Or is it The Walls? Or is it half & half between Galway & Clare can anyone tell me?

Just re-found this song from around 10 years ago thanks to this thread!

As far as I know, the Wall brothers were from Ennistymon (I think?) but were based in Galway (as in they were living here) when The Stunning were at their peak.

Thin Lizzy's live album "Thunder and Lightening" used material from the Leisureland gig. As I recall, some of the Mervue boys can be heard in the background at one point.

Isn't there a story about Phil Lynott turning up on someone's doorstep in the Claddagh and asking him to play drums for Thin Lizzy?
