What's the bets now that the LaFerrari will win the race of the trio when ever they do the battle?
Chris won't want to exclude himself from future options from the company!

    Can't stand Chris Evans

Didn't like Hammond, but Evans is like Hammond on speed :(

Couldn't agree more. Cant stand Evans at all and its going to be like when Charlie sheen was replaced in two and a half men. Utter crap.
Wouldn't surprise me if top gear uk became like top gear us... ****e
As for the old presenters, sources are saying Netflix is close to signing a deal.

Remember that young fella in Clondalkin who bought a car for half nothing and crashed it, killing one of his friends?

Judge today ruled it won't go through the childrens court, but rather the circuit court.

I just remembered the rule about posting on ongoing legal cases, so perhaps we should have no more talk about it? Genuinely forgot the rule, have reported my post to the mods asking them to remove it if necessary

    Sorry Sobanek

Probably I got a fierce attack of the guilt after I realised I'd forgotten the rule

Imagine now if I get an infraction!

I cleaned it up, I took the pictures, I wrote and put up the ad...... so I get the money??... pfft I wish :pac:

A friends brother is selling this. Does the ad look alright? Mileage is left out deliberately, it was one of the instructions left to me!

Looks fine apart from the lack of mileage, I'd be thinking 200k miles plus and would put me off

How does it compare price wise?

I take it the mileage is huge?

He needs to state the mileage in fairness, I would ring if I was real interested but it just means I know the mileage is high, or at least he thinks it is.
    Thats very strong money too!

Its 208k miles, would put many off, hence it not being there.

I think it's fairly alright regarding price. It's at 3,950, he said he'd take 3,500. If nothing bites he'll reduce the price. It's actually mint clean, this lad hasn't it long, only selling it because he couldn't get a reasonable insurance quote on it! Previous owner(s) kept it so tidy! Not a thing out of place. Not a fan of all the debadging though.

I honestly think it's 2k over priced but that's me

Ya, I'd always put in the mileage, regardless of what it is at, but you can't tell come people!!!

The money is fairly strong alright, but if something bites at that then happy days, if not then it can be brought down, no mad panic in selling it.

That's fairly massive mileage, and that plus the work that's been carried out as per the ad, would put me off big time as it indicates the car is starting to reach obsolete territory tbh
At that mileage and with the replaced clutch/belt etc, I'd be taking 1k off that price. Most people will see the work done, and worry more is on the way, rather than the opposite. To give you a comparator, I paid 3.2k for a Honda accord with 120k miles, same year, and it was auto which added a premium, tax wise there is not much difference. Manuals for an 04 accord at the time were about 2.5k

    In kms that's 332.8 kms

Far too much money for the mileage alright but that mileage wouldn't put me off one of them.
Once minded that has plenty left in it and with the clutch done I'd be saying its one less thing to worry about.

No point in hiding the mileage as it will be the first question when someone rings.
If that puts them off then what has he gained by not disclosing it?

See the key target market here is young'ins who want to slam it, make coo boo loo whatever. These boys wouldn't really care about what kind of mileage is on it. Them golf's make daft money, they're grand like, but I don't see the hype over them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,086 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

A petrol(?) automatic Accord would be shooting for a completely different target audience in fairness. Obviously noccy you have no say in what he wants put in the ad but leaving it black in an otherwise detailed ad screams its been left out for a reason, and chances are the first thing anyone who rings is going to ask is, whats the mileage..

In a way, the high mileage does mean it hasn't been clocked, which is a positive. The amount of clocked Golfs and Passats (and anything VAG really) over here is astonishing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,845 ✭✭✭Noccy_Mondy

I don't care about the car, it's price, or mileage, all I'm interested in is the ad presentation. I spent a full hour at that ad, an hour that I could have spent watching Vinny B  :pac:

Oh agreed on the demographics ref the accord, but I think that golf is overpriced
