Audi A3 traction light

    I have an Audi A3 03 new shape, 1.6 petrol. The battery went flat and the traction control light stayed on after that! Have brought to mechanic and connected two different computers in and no fault codes were found! Any help of how to knock this light off please?

    What fault codes were read when you plugged the machines in ?

    There is no fault code showing up at all! 2 computers were plugged in and neither showed me any.. It's my sisters car and she does barely any driving in it and my mechanic said that's why and told me to take it on the motorway and give it plenty of revs. After 60km stretch of high revs it's still not gone

    Sounds to me like your mechanic had little interest in investigating it any further and sent you off to drive the ring out of your sisters car. Where are you based you need to get someone to scan the car with VCDS that's VW/Audi specific diagnostic software - chances are the garages were using some cheap generic scanner and it couldn't pull the fault code from the ECU. If you are in Kildare i can scan it for you.

    Either that or you need to get a recommendation of a good indy Mechanic near where you are.

    Yeah that's what I thought I know a vw/Audi specialist near enough to me I'll bring it to him he has the proper software! Thanks for the help
