Yeah I've a few big changes coming up work wise and all, so it's the time now to take the opportunity. Hopefully have all by Monday, though I've the kanger, new coil, and battery dug out to get going over the weekend.

    Pat.
One thing to watch out for that wasn't mentioned earlier (sorry, I've been off the grid) is the juice / liquid you use. I notice that you mention a preference for tobacco flavours.
Some of these - particularly those referred to as NETs (Naturally Extracted Tobaccos) are known to be much harder on coils. Some examples of these are the House of Liquids range (to varying degrees) and T-Juice Cubana. Although I love the HOL range in particular, I would suggest that you use some of the other brands that have non NET tobacco flavours in their ranges until you are happy building you own coils and rewicking etc.
Otherwise you run the risk of having to change gunked up coils on a fairly regular basis, something that appears to have put you off vaping in the past.
Think of it a saving a treat for yourself for later.

There's a lot out there on the web about NETs and their effect on coils.
For me , they're worth the hassle, but I thought it worth mentioning given your previous experience.

One other general rule of thumb I've found is that, the darker in colour the juice / liquid I'm using - the more often I'll need to change coils.
But like everything else, there are always exceptions to the rule.

Cheers for that. I'll keep any eye out for light coloured ones? Any places in particular that are better for not having these when buying juices?

Also, on the iStick. I see it's adjustable. Is there any optimum voltage for the eleaf coils or is it just down to preference/strength?

Best bet is to drop in to a shop with samplers and try a few. Don't rule out flavoured juices either until you've tried a few. Some are very tasty. I tend to have at least one tobacco and one flavoured liquids on the go at any time. And normally a few mixes as well. It's one of the best things about vaping. The variety is endless.

If you look through the threads here you'll find that there are a few that are recommended on a regular basis.
Here's a link to a site that has details of most if not all Irish Shops and Websites that sell Vape gear ...

With regards to your kit I don't have an istick but generally the advice seem to be to start low and work your way up watt by watt until you get a Vape you're happy with. This will vary from tank to tank and depending on the ohm rating of your coil.

Got sorted out after and set up with the 30W iStick battery and the GS Air. What's the best Watts to have the battery at for coil longevity? I have it at 10W at the moment, though it's fairly strong at that (16mg liquid).

Haven't used the gs air but watts really depends on coil resistance and liquid used, 10 is a good medium so just play around a bit until you find what suits you

The GS Coils can take up to 20w but I think 15/16w is their sweet spot.

In comparison to the standard Kanger or Aspire coils the Eleaf ones are far superior.
