How much can I spend with a Visa Debit card?

Hi just wondering how much I can spend with one on-line in one transaction? I'm with Bank of Ireland? is it limited in the same way that ATM withdrawals are? thanks S

I recall a figure of €1500 limit for a single point of sale transaction, not sure if this differs online or not.

Hi Spirogyra,

Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

When you are using your Visa debit card online there is no set limit.

If the transaction is a larger transaction the company you are paying to may need to call for authorisation on your card.
