I'm thinking of insuring a second car with another insurance company . I have a 7 years NCB with the company and I'm wondering if I take out a new policy with a new company on my second car will my 7 years NCB apply??

    Pretty much always no.

Your insurer may do multicar discounts but under normal circumstances the NCB is for one vehicle only.

One NCB to One car only.
Whats the second car/ is it a weekend car or a commercial ?

Guaranteed though if you crash one car, both NCB's get affected!!

Seems one or two companies will mirror an NCB

KennCo will mirror. I currently have this in place through Chill.ie

Kennco and Patrona main insurers that will do this at the moment.

But they may not be cheaper than Patrona - call a broker and get them so check for you.
