It's like congratulating someone that went to a supermarket and bought a turnip.
I mean why do people congratulate them? It's an Internet forum, not real life. It's not like they got engaged or having a baby or something. It's very very strange.

Did your application get turned down again?

They deserve a little something for the loss of sanity. I imagine they come out the other end looking like Vietnam veterans.

Well, being a Mod on boards gives certain people a sense of power and control that they will never wield in their real lives, so let them at it I say.

Really it's a good 95% troll to be fair, Not like the old days when it was subtle.

If internet forums and websites aren't real life then I spend a considerable time away from real life.

I'm all for being congratulated when buying a turnip also.

The ability to keep order and peace in an area where everyone can voice their opinions no matter how ridiciculous they are. They are the chosen ones.

The old prison forum is still good for a laugh now and again.
A witty troll, is to be treasured.
None of them left now though, it's all one shot offensive posts that get immediately banned, re'reg, banned.
Round and round they go like a chase scene from Scooby Doo.

What ever happened to that guy who actually filled out the amp test to become a mod and addressed it to the admins?

    Edit-Oh wait, found it

Hear-hear. It's not so easy being a turnip either - I'd say congratulations are in order for that one as well. Does anyone like turnip soup? I had turnip soup at a funeral lately and I thought it was mighty.

Aye, It's like a 16 year old discovering 4chan for the first time. And not realising its mainstream now and just blatant.

You can say the same for having a kid.

Why congratulate someone on giving birth. Its not exactly a difficult or rare thing to achieve. "There are millions of babies. WOW on having a baby. Get over it."

Its nice to be nice. Relax a bit.

No, no they are the first. And their parenting will be far superior and better than anything that has previously gone before. And they know better far better than generations previously.

And is a turnip really a turnip, or is it a swede?

Your traditional, daycint, Christian white turnip is a turnip. These yalla yokes masquerading as turnips these days are in fact swedes. Bork-Bork-Bork!! :D

How many Mods have been successfully rounded up and chained to the boards servers anyhow? Is there hundreds of them?

If you knew the powers we have you would congratulate us too, viewing boards as a mod is like having a crystal ball..... plus the extra pay really helps
