Do BA still fly these on a regular basis? I thought their shorthaul was all Airbus now!

I think that's it down to 4/5 left in LGW, to be withdrawn this year.

Wind speed must be OK at DA for landings.

It is certainly NOT ok in my back garden. the second fence panel of the year is down, the bins are everywhere, the garden umbrella in a cast iron base is down on the ground. Ye gods.

Wind will decrease rapidly from around 8pm AFAIK.
Orange Wind warning ends at 10pm.

Followed by another go around by LH2514 (DLH6LF-Lufthansa 6 Lima Foxtrot)

    Diverting to Shannon

Can almost guarantee lh diversion when things pick up at Dub, assume company rules are tighter there?

LH980 from Frankfurt, same aircraft type, made it down on the first approach, right behind the 2nd go around of LH2514.

not exactly the best profile picture to be using for an aircraft is it??

    Switching to RWY 28.

    Headwind 4kts
    Crosswind 25kts.

Compared to RWY 16 (using now)
    Headwind 19kt
    Crosswind 16kt.

I cannot see the reasoning for that?

ya its gone to Shannon...is that the first diversion of the day?

assume they will stay there for a while and refuel, going again then??

Yes its gone to Shannon, first diversion of the day.

Id assume the same, they may have to wait a while, alot of holding at DUB.

Iberia short of fuel, will look to divert pretty soon i think.

if it was a Ryanair plane in Spain, it would be a massive media story of course.
