I can see why but, I mean... it's just chocolate, like.

    Ah here, they're krafty effers!!!!!

I buy them just for the strawberry and orange creamy ones!

When I was younger I opened a box my mam had, took them ones out and taped it up again. Didn't know she was giving them to the neighbours!!

Inflation meant confectionery companies had a choice of either charging more for their stuff or shrink them down a bit.

Doesn't excuse what they did to the Creme Eggs, I'm pretty sure the "cream" is just ground up plastic or sand that somehow got into the production line and they realised consumers hadn't noticed. :pac:

As for the Rose tins, where's the Irish Mammy supposed to store all her sowing kit with the decreasing size of the tins now? These are the questions that need to be asked!

Sure it's all more soya and less milk these days.

They should rebrand them as Violets

They're sickeningly sweet. They've probably replaced the sugar with corn syrup.

Much prefer Galaxy branded chocolates. I hate Mars Bars so Celebrations (which seem to be 50% Mars bars) are wasted on me.

    Ferrero Rocher Rafaello ftw.

Who buys these things. They just tend to magically appear every Christmas, end up beside me and I graze through them. Free magic sweets, I won't complain about the size.

I just don't like the sweets.i still get them at Christmas as presents. Sickly as someone said.

I don't care about smaller boxes, the ultimate first world problem.

I don't get why they have to shrink the tin, it's not as if they don't have smaller boxes for sale.
Nothing stopping them for having a 1kg tin that goes up in price every year or so and a smaller budget tin.

Kraft are infamous in America for producing crap apparently.
Seen Rich Hall rip the piss out of them on the telly one night,Live at the Apollo or something.

I don't understand why everyone is blaming Kraft for this.

We were all told by Iona that this was going to happen if we let the gays get married.

They were always horrible chocolates. We haven't bought tinned sweets for years, we just get a nice box from Thorntons.

Cream eggs have thinner shells and the goo is different. Still Can't get over that.

Almost every house I've been in has one of these in shed full of thumbtacks, drill bits and old keys.

Roses tins where what we did for storage solutions before we had Ikea.

I did the same. Had to dash to the shop to replace it before my mam was shamed forever among the neighbours!! :D

The saddest moments of my childhood were getting my hands on a tin of roses, feeling the weight & rattle of its chocolatey goodness, only to open the tin and instead find needles, and thimbles, and spools of colourful thread  The disappointment.

    Celebrations are much better anyway.

I lost respect for Roses when they got rid of the coffee cream :(. The fillings are too samey now, disguised with different wrappers. Thorntons are lovely , especially the continental selection.

It's not even a metal tin anymore, it's an evil plastic tub of despair.
