Offaly against Limerick in the 1994 All Ireland final.5 points down with 5 minutes left and end up winning by six points.

Wexford had an unbelievable comeback against Meath in 2008 they were 10 points down at half time and end up winning

Limerick fecked up twice in the 90s. Also Limerick United against Galway in the Cup.

This is the most recent one that comes to mind. My jaw almost hit the floor!
Def not the greatest but a great finish.

I know his brother Kevin who studies at University of Limerick.

Tinhaleys under 8s overcoming insurmountable odds and overturning all the major bookies to clinch a major win over Rathdrum under 12s in a friendly match in 1986. Old men still get a tear in the eye and sweaty palms when they recount that glorious day.

Carew Park under 14s against Weston Under 17s. Last 15 mins of the game was under 17s both sides. Game initially started under 14s both sides lol.

Ben Hogan is the biggest comeback in the history of Golf. Not just a single round, but how he came back from his car accident (when they thought he was dead at the scene) to not only play golf again, but to win tournaments inc the us open..
Jose Maria Olazabal also - wondered if he'd be able to walk again when his foot injury was at his worst, but came back to win the Masters.

Spurs 3-4 Man City in the FA Cup 11 years ago.

Tottenham were 3-0 up and City got a man sent off after the half-time whistle, but they ended up winning in the last minute. That was before they had mad money too.

We were 3-0 up against Man Utd at half time and the feckers beat us 5-3.

The reason nobody mentioned it is because no Irish people watch Baseball.

Yeah ya dope, we watch our own sports and teams, 'specially Man United and Liverpool, two best teams in Ireland. Those Scousers in Dublin really hate those Irish Mancs.

Not a comeback as such, but this was a beaut of a moment :D

What about career comebacks? Darren Clarke to win the British Open.

Or if he had holed that last putt on the 18th green it would have been Tom Watson winning the British Open at a ripe old age a couple of years ago.

Jonas guittierez, back from staring death in the face through cancer to set up one and fire the goal that kept Newcastle in the premier league. Great stuff.

Andre Agassi as a career comeback was pretty impressive, he dropped to 141 in the rankings at 27, when most tennis players are already past their peak, but came back to win another 5 grand slams and returned to world number 1

Sweden in Berlin from 4 - 0 down after 60 minutes.

The draw meant Sweden overtook Ireland in the WC qualification group.

    Ivanisevic winning Wimbledon in 2001.

He had lost three finals there over the years and then in 2001, plagued by shoulder injuries to the point where his retirement was being considered, he gets in on a wild card and somehow makes it to the final. He wasn't even ranked in the Top 100 at the time.

In the final nobody gave him a chance, understandably, as he had had to dig so deep in the matches leading up to it ( was 2 sets to 1 down to Henman in the semis for example). I don't think I ever seen anybody want to win a sporting event as much as he did Ivanisevic wanted to win that day.

Sampras said he had found him curled up in a ball crying in the locker room after one of the finals which he had beaten him in, back in the 90s. The guy was obsessed about winning Wimbledon and I honestly think there was a good chance he would have been sectioned if he hadn't won in 2001. Thank God he did :p

Good call, and more so after the first ball to Porterfield.

Liverpool's come back from 5-0 down at half-time against Stoke to only lose 6-1 is one of the all-time great Liverpool performances.

Honorable mention to the Cork ladies football team. 10 points down in last years All Ireland final to Dublin with 15 minutes to go. Won by a point. :)

Dublin beating Kerry in the All Ireland Final of 2011....the last 16 minutes of that game were, for us Dubs at least, absolute magic!

I would say the Miracle at Medinah too but I'd lob that one into the Sport's greatest chokes category to be honest. A collective choke by the US team.
