Wel lads just want to point out something , Ye are all putting yourself down for no reason. Think of it this way anyone on here is obviously in the final 265 odd that was shortlisted. We were told in the centre there are 60 places . Now we have been told (by someone back in the thread)there are three phases of 25.
This means there is now 75 positions. This gives us all a 1 in 3.5 chance of success.
Not bad odds at all .

Also the initial announcement of 365 positions over the next 5 years is still in place and Ye have been shortlisted to the top 200 of 11000 applications so pat on the back and if ur not in this time , Ye should walk it this time next year

Also I think the delay is because on the success email you are asked to confirm asap and obviously some have not accepted and these places are goin to be handed out to numbers further down the list ,

So don't lose all hope yet , keep the faith and best of luck

Well we were told it's for 75 positions. In fairness 90% of what's on here is speculation and opinions so all we can do is sit it out. No one knows what method there using. There's only 20 or so people on here out of over 200.

So how do we know it's actually over yet? I know we're all prob doubtful but until we receive refusal emails then we shouldn't be jumping to conclusions

    chill people,

it was the same for us in 2011

    there was 3 intakes...

a round of responses for intake 1, then another round for intake two, anyone who couldnt make the first 2 intakes were in intake 3 and a couple of others lobbed in to fill the spaces of people who didn't accept an offer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46 pollyfunnel

I wonder has anyone an idea were all places offered Wednesday or was it just the first round?

Reading back there people got offers for the 3 start dates on that day, so presume all offers were made but again it's hard to know what way they work, odd they don't require you to reply to accept it to try avoid people not showing up etc

Plus people were required to respond to the emails....aparantly

I heard through the grapevine that they offered a certain no. of positions first, they'll see how many accept them and then offer more.

So it looks like its been done in the same manner as last time, so don't despair!

I don't have a link as I'm on the phone now but I think I saw it put up by Pfizer themselves in the jobs section of LinkedIn.

You do have to reply to the email let them know your accepting the offer! The positions in September are for some leaving certs too so they might not b offered until the leaving cert is over some might decide they want to go to college or whatever unless you got an email saying sorry or whatever don't jump to conclusions yet your obviously still in the running

Have you heard of anyone that has received an email saying "your fired"?!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46 pollyfunnel

Also, a leaving certificate was part of the requirements for application so I can't see them holding out until September to offer positions to those awaiting their results.

Sorry just going by what I was told in my interview that people doing the leaving cert wouldn't be starting until September I know a leaving cert was part of the requirements but just repeating what I was told by one of the assessors

I got a phone call from eircom today and they asked would I be able to start before July, I said yes and asked what dates they were thinking about but she said it might not be until September, that they are trying to organise dates but it's difficult due to the number of people.

Got the same phone call but wasn't told that , does it sound hopeful for July?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46 pollyfunnel

So in other words the rest of us that heard nothing yet don't stand much of a chance of being offered anything.

were you sent out the original email offering a place or was this the first contact they had with you?
