I seriously doubt that they don't have a copy of it on an email or hard drive outside of their office.

They are just throwing up road block to customers who have been affected by the fire.

You'd be surprised at the amount of businesses that don't back anything up at all.

Just been down at the site to be told that if I accept the 3000 euro insurance that I waive the right to remove anything from the unit and won't get any of the small items back.

So if your unit is water and smoke damaged be careful about the claim incase you want to see if you can save any sentimental items.

Also if anybody has a copy of the lease agreement that goes with the units PLEASE PM me as the crowd in store it claim that they have no copies of it anywhere in the world or cyberspace. which makes it extremely difficult for a solicitor to advise on. I wonder why they have no copies??

Do not sign that waiver. Get legal advice, I know 2 or 3 businesses in there rejected it and got their solicitor on it and they got in to get their stuff without signing away their rights.

Yeah they seem to think they can strong arm people into doing what they want. Already spoke to solicitor but as I have already said. Without a copy of the rental agreement he can't advise on the best way to deal with it.

Rumour mill has it. ( I know I shouldn't listen to hear say, but with the way we've been treated it's hard not to believe some of the stuff being said ). If you put in the claim for the 3000 euro the unit is then being sold to a company that is taking anything salvageable and selling it.

    Thats the way insurance works.

    Insurance works.

You check to see what's salvageable and remove it. Then pay for what has been destroyed.

Not I pay you 3000 for a destroyed tv, pc , washing machine, suite of furniture and then sell off perfectly good items such as gold rings and watches.
