Yes if we ban enough words that are in otherwise common usage we could end up with our own special language.

We all know what a highly PC person is - someone who gets offended over something totally innocuous and tiptoes around everything they say in relation to groups that aren't white (e.g. being afraid to use the term "black" to describe a black person). Fair enough when people use the term "PC brigade" about that.

But here, it regularly gets used about people who just aren't right-wing kneejerks.

I would say 25 posts!

But why not have a single, sort of sand box thread for new posters only, in which they must make a minimum number of posts before they graduate to roam and rampage across the greater expanse of After Hours (or boards)?

I guess they would then just post garbage in there to get to the threshold quickly...so it just delays the inevitable?

I would impose a time delay. Write something, hit Post ... wait 1 minute ... server asks "do you really want to post that?". You'd have to hit another button labeled "Yes, I'm all that" before the post actually goes through.
