I don't get why two pretty young girls would do this because they probably have plenty of guys living around them who would be interested in them, and who they know aren't thugs. So why would they go out of their way to meet two complete strangers and go through the trouble of travelling to meet them even? Like were they that exceptional that they deserved this attention, I strongly doubt it given what they're capable of..

Probably go for the bad boy type

If the man who brought them to hospital picked them up outside the apartment as was reported surely the men can be found?

This whole story is a bundle of lies. Everything about it is implausible. The proof of this will be the fact that in a couple of days it will be quietly dropped by the media and the Gardai.
If the account of the girls was true, it would make the international news for weeks. The fact that it hasn't even made the RTE news means that nobody really believes it.

They don't know who the man who picked them up is. That seems a little strange. As does the fact he bought them to Tallaght Hospital. That is hardly the closest hospital to Newbridge.

    Ah.

Why would he not take them to naas?

    The plot thickens

.................The scene at Frances Lane was preserved and technically examined.............

The women received a lift on Friday afternoon from a man driving an orange coloured car in Newbridge to Tallaght Hospital.

The sisters, who were covered in blood, ran out of the apartment and flagged down a man who was driving by with two children. He brought them straight to hospital.

The sisters believe they may have been drugged on the night of their ordeal.

One of the guys who put a comment of that pic of her has a daughter a few years younger. :(

As for taking them to Tallaght hospital?
My thoughts are that A: It would be nearer to their home or B: He was going in that direction.

As judge Judy says, if it doesn't make sense it more than likely is not true

I believe her exact words were, "Don't pee on my leg, then tell me it's raining."

    :)

    That would be tragic also.

No they did not beat themselves up. I think a little compassion would not go amiss. It's missing in this thread.

Its harsh but people get lumps knocked out of them all the time, what these people don't do is make up a weird false story about strange men kidnapping them while posing for the media, stuff like this makes people doubt people that are actual victims of sexual assaults etc, they deserve sympathy for being attacked, they loose that sympathy when they carry on in a manner that will cause genuine victims harm.

I'l close my account (yes I know not much of threat :P ) if this story is in anyway close to what was reported.

So what you are saying is they made the whole thing up and beat themselves up?

He never said that they beat themselves up, and the part you bolded does not say that they beat themselves up.

Even more he said they deserve sympathy for being attacked

He said they made the whole thing up about the men beating them up.

Thats not what was said, he said they deserve LESS sympathy than genuine victims.
I was just wondering what insight he has that he can say these girls were not genuine victims.

    No, he did not.

    Okay then....................................

*given it was the bit you took initial umbridge with but okay*

    Anyway, back on topic.
NO-ONE knows what happened so victim blaming is really poor form.

Check out their surname. Then think of any dodgy people from Tallaght with the same surname.;)

Then think about how the attacker's demeanour suddenly changed, and he started raving about having been in jail.

Can I just interject and ask why on earth people think it's fake?

The words I used after he said are letter for letter an exact quotation but we will agree to disagree.

They were told not to contact the Gardai. They somehow have managed not only get the Gardai's attention but every media outletboth north and south of the border.
Left screaming covered in blood. Picked up by a man in Orange car with two children and drove straight to hospital.
If I personally was driving through a town with my children and two girls were distressed I don't know would I be too quick letting them in my car with my children and the five of us up to Dublin and drop them off at the door. Not with serious head injuries anyway , I would be more inclined to call an ambulance.
Hope the girls make a full recovery but like a lot of people I suspect there is a lot more to the story.

Do you not think it sounds a bit ott?

Talking about holes in the mountains, being picked up and brought to tallaght instead of naas etc?

I dont think its fake. I think the reason given for what happened to them is fake. I think the details of how it happened is fake. But they definitely got the crud beaten out of them for some reason and they didnt deserve that

I'm guessing they know the person who did it hence why they've made up this dodgy story because for some reason they don't want that person getting in trouble.

I'm curious as to why they would do this though.
Say what you have above is what happened, why go to the bother of getting the media involved?
I mean, its clear someone beat them up but if not the guys in the apartment, why bother going so far with it? I mean, they may be foolish/naive/dim whatever you want to call it but I dont for one second think they themselves reckon they could get away with such a tall tale.

They didnt have to say anything to anybody. They wouldnt be the first busted up girl walking around(black eyes seem to be everywhere I look lately). Nobody really asks question any more and its almost de rigour. Lets face it, it wont be the scandal of the parish.

    So why?
It would only bring them negative attention for this story NOT to be true.

I think people just dont want to believe it to be true.
For me, it sounds more fishy for it to be something else than what they said happened. Lots of bad eggs out there who just like beating women up for the giggles and thrills sadly.

Hell of a lot of work to go to when they could have just as easily said and did nothing and there would never have been a thing know about it if indeed they knew the person.
This way its just drawing more attention to it.
