Half hipped roof: gutter needed?

There currently is a gutter & angled down pipe for the half hipped roof (approx 4sqm) of our house.
We are thinking of removing this gutter/pipe as it does not look nice and is awkward to clean.
Water from this small part of the roof would fall onto the roof of an extension, and would therefore be directed into the surface water drainage system.

Technical guidance document H stipulates that there is no requirement for the provision of rainwater drainage for areas less than 6sqm.

Can i assume we are ok to remove this gutter?
