I purchased a gas hob a while back, but only now am I getting around to wanting to install it.

Can anybody recommend me a person or company in Dublin who can do this for a reasonable price?

You can PM me if required.

    Thanks

Which part of Dublin are you in and are you just replacing an old hob or is it a new fit which requires a counter to be cut out?

    I am in Rathfarnham.

I am upgrading from an electric one, so its just a matter of taking the old one out and installing the new one.

Do you have a gas supply in the kitchen?

You (legally) need to employ a registered gas installer - they should be quiet these days with the summer starting so not very busy fixing gas central heating boilers.

Search for your area here....... With the gas supply already there and the counter aperture ready, it should just be a matter of getting a quote over the phone.

If you have gas central heating, I'd get a quote for a boiler service and the hob installation, you should get a good quote for that bundle given the time of year.

Thanks for the help lads, got a fella up to install it (Issued a Cert for it to) and also do a bit of other work around the house, well pleased with the new appliance.

I am doing the opposite I.e. Changing from gas hob to electric (induction) keeping my electric oven. Do I need a registered (de) installer to switch off the gas? Thanks. In same area as McGrath5.
