Shower water temperature low even though there is hot water?

Can someone explain if this is a big job to fix or its just a tweek? Will I need a plumber in? If I do I might add a water pump as the water pressure is also very low.

What is the make and model of the shower? Is it a dial in the wall, power shower,electric shower etc?

Its a dial in the wall. The house head is 'fixed' into the wall around 7" high (3rd floor br). The water in the tap is v hot but the highest dial on the shower head (single dial in/out and left/right)

Sounds like the cartridge needs replacing. Price depends on make and model. Mira cartridges are between 100 and 300 Euro.
