Grant 70/50 burner problem

    Have a grand 70/50 boiler and the red reset light keeps coming on. It just won't fire up.
    The boiler was outside and my oil tank behind it, both the old burner and oil where stolen so I built a shed over the whole lot with ventilation in place to let the boiler work. It's not a sealed up shed either, plenty of air and even with the door open which is beside the boiler it still fails to ignite.

    Any ideas of what it could be?

    What is the dept of oil in tank ?
    Did it work since new shed built around it ?

    When you say ventilation, do you mean the fumes leaving the boiler are inside or outside? Also, kerosene fumes are contaminating the air needed for combustion and creating dangerous fumes and probably soot too.

    I have the flu going out through the wall do the shed doesn't get any fumes. There is a large wall vent beside the boiler for fresh air to enter for combustion

    Yes but the fumes from the kerosene will effect the combustion. Apart from it being a huge fire hazard, it's probably producing carbon monoxide. Did you ever get the boiler serviced?

    If your Tank was emptied you could have sludge washed further down the pipeline. Even all the way into the Pump and Burner.
