    No.

    I don't really get angry.

I get sad, though. In situations where I should be angry, I just feel sad and become very quiet and withdrawn.

No, I'm extremely passive. I can't be arsed losing my temper. It's a waste of energy.

Absolutely. Feck all patience. Banks and taxi companies are the main source of ire.

    Agree.
What prompted this was: I was in the bank last week and got bounced around 3 different people/queues for 45 mins for what I thought was a simple query. Still didn't get sorted by the time I left. How I didn't f#ck someone out of it I'll never know.

Then today, got a quote for some repairs to the car. Thought I was being screwed and let the guy know it in the nicest possible way.

I often take the view that there's no point taking it out on people as it might ruin their days, but nowadays, I feel people don't care about the way they treat people (lack of standards/manners) so feeling it's more justified to let people know about it.

No, not really. I do have a tendency to be slightly short with people if I'm under pressure, but I wouldn't call it a temper, more a frustration at their stroppy and unhelpful nature.

I do have a finally tuned radar for being able to detect when people are about to lose their temper. This is almost overwhelmingly a valuable trait to possess. I'll admit to occasionally using it to my advantage.

I don't lose my temper, I get frustrated, I have an unusually high tolerance for other people, so I don't "do" passive aggressive.

In fact, I don't do passive at all, I'll be straight up with someone if they do or say something that pisses me off.

Once I've said my piece though, I don't hold a grudge, I clear the air with the person and we move on. Bitterness never did anyone any good.

I'm pretty quiet and internalise things. I seem to attract a lot of angry people though.

Maybe you just make people angry?

I don't want to make people angry. I hope I don't make people angry.

The how do you explain all the angry people, Eternal? Answer me that!

Sometimes. Never losing the plot level obviously but more being a bit irritable with people that get on my nerves. Usually relatively harmless and blows over pretty quickly though.

People that get sanctimonious about other people occasionally losing their temper are a bit insufferable to be honest

I'm generally calm enough but I still lose it sometimes. Even when I do, I just kick something or raise my voice a little bit, harmless really :p

Sames, nobody even seems to notice when I'm p!ssed off because all I'll ever do is raise my voice a little. If I've really lost self control, I'll probably throw in an eye roll for good measure. :)

I'm conscious of a passive-aggressive streak, I try keep it in check as it's not a nice part of my character in any way.

I've only lost it a few times in my whole life though, generally I'm very easygoing.

I have a terrible temper. I can be happy one minute and the female Hulk the next minute. I hate it.

Nah I'm fairly chilled. Probably a bit too chilled though. Nothing seems to set me off these days. Anger requires energy and all that so y'know...meh

Irrational anger isn't something I experience, but I've successful used deep breathing and mindfulness techniques to step back from other difficult emotions. You can then choose to ignore the emotion or to study it with loving kindness.

I'd recommend these mindfulness techniques to those prone to taking things too seriously; or those folk who 'fly off the handle'.

Do you have a short fuse or can you keep calm?

I have a pretty long fuse so I have no problem in keeping calm.

I actually cry when I get really angry with someone, it's really an unfortunate response when I'm trying to get them to take me seriously. Thankfully it doesn't happen very often.

No, not at all when it comes to other people.

I've only ever lost my temper twice. The first time I'd lost a uniform tie (teenager) and I went into a massive rage over it. The second time I don't remember.

    :D

If people annoy me I either walk away thinking "prick" or blame myself, then beat myself up about it. All very healthy

Sometimes have no fuse, I all the time have to think before I go off on one and make myself calm before my emotions come to surface and get the better of me.

I wish I was a little more Vlad and not mad.

I'm pretty impatient and that leads to me being irritable. I wish I could be a more patient person. I find I lose my temper most when I'm driving because a lot of stupid idiots have no clue how to drive

Would it be tears of frustration or tears of rage Sparky? If that's not too nosy! :)

That's pretty much what I do tbh - bury it down, because sometimes it's not worth it if I express any anger, I only ever tend to feel worse, often times because I either don't want the other person to feel bad, or I know they just won't care.

I tried that whole mindfulness craic actually (my wife swears by it, really helps her the last two years or so), but it honestly didn't do anything for me, I couldn't get into it at all. Works for some people definitely, but not for everyone. Wouldn't be my thing personally.

This happens to me too. It makes me look like a baby who can't handle confrontation.

I'm not as bad as I used to be, I've been on medication for three years now and that seems to have helped. Nothing physical has happened in a long time. I still get furious every day of the week but if I sing a little song in my head it passes. It's not my fault though, it's my crazy damaged brain.

    I feel pretty,
    Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
    And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

    I feel charming,
    Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
    And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
    Such a pretty face,
    Such a pretty dress,
    Such a pretty smile,
    Such a pretty me

And now to counteract that hippy crap....
