Yeah... but haven't they used that device a few times in Castle now? I love the show - but it needs a serious shake-up or something.

Well that's Castle wrapped up now.

Not sure where they can take it from here.

No major arc's left the will they won't they is fully over as they are married.

Ratings are good so it will probably be renewed.

fairly good episode and yeah no more arcs left. However they get a story between Esposito & Lanie
if anybody here watches bones, they are at that level, Out of storys.

Still keeping well and still a good weakly watch

It felt like a series finale tbh but it was a fantastic episode. That's what we have been missing.

They still have to wrap up why Castle went missing from his wedding unless I am forgetting something from earlier in the season, I assume it has something to do with his Dad

Still enough time to wrap that up and you really could finsih the show at that point though I would be happy for it to continue down the weekly procedural route as I like the characters

ah its not like she has anywhere to go, whats another year or two, also the show simply doesn't work without her, shes just as important as fillion,

Reading the comments on the article that was linked people get FAR too invested in the show. Its easy watching enjoyable stuff but not worth getting hot under the collar about.

Two new characters for season 8

As previously reported, the ABC procedural will return Sept. 21 with a two-parter, the first installment of which is titled “XY.” The double-episode salvo will introduce two new characters: Scotland Yard officer turned security specialist Hayley Vargas (to be played by new series regular/Neighbors alum Toks Olagundoye) and tech analyst Vikram Singh (recurring player Sunkrish Bala)

Yeah have to say I really enjoyed it, let's hope they can keep the story/pace going. I'm also really liking the Castle PI team; it seems they've finally found a use for Alexis and she's great.

Great second episode the season has kicked off really well hoping it will continue this story arc with Castle's mother in law and Beckett more so than story of the week episodes.

Thanks, I was just gonna post that last nite, but i couldn't find S08 page & was gonna start one:)

Although i couldn't believe it, as i thought she got fired when i heard dismissal, as i thought the same after watching The Blacklist

Afaik, she almost died at end of S05 when shot at an outside presentation?

Unless the showrunners were teasing us at the start in where the two were separated at the start of season, while Kate & Ackram were following leads & last ep i saw, the two were back together

Although i saw this by a poster, might explain what was meant by the show EP

Rumor has it Castle is moving to LA to be a private detective, so that might be why they wouldn’t have Tamala Jones’s character move. It’s going to be hard enough to explain Ryan & Espo’s moving.

It's already been done at the start of the season anyway, Father/Daughter Detective agency, but now maybe in a different setting to save money??

The show either needs a serious shake-up or they just need to end it. I'm still a fan of the show in some ways and I do think that their detective agency is the most compelling part of the show at the moment. I particularly like what they've done with Alexis this season, pairing her with Hayley who is also an interesting a fresh character.

The "best" way to have done this would be to allow Becket to further slip away , but in recent week they have brought her back into castle life

I dont know how this will work? Death is the only option now , but that means she gone for good

Doesn't matter if she's gone for good or not. The series won't last another 2 seasons after this one IMHO. Been a great run though
