    Yes.

I don't know if it has been investigated yet or not. All I know is that either a drone or satellite or something took a photo of some isolated mountains that nobody goes near and the object is in the shape of a boat and it's big and they think it's Noah's Ark.

if you plug your brain in you must know its just some internet spoof. now if you could find me some kangaroo bones in the middle east I would be impressed

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

If God did flood the place with water then he would have had to remove it before Enda Kenny taxed him for it.

Wasn't there a photograph taken of a mysterious huge object in some mountains that people have speculated to be Noah's Ark?

Several. In different locations. Best not to look into it if you want to continue believing in it.

There's nowhere in the world that's really all that inaccessible these days. Certainly nowhere in Europe. If there was the possibility of the ark being somewhere in Europe you can guarantee there would be people at the site within weeks, more likely hours. If this news was real we'd all know about it. It would be on the news, there would be archaeologists all over it, even lay archaeologists trying to show it really is the ark.

It's like those "faces" on Mars. Why some people must go over the top to identify something in an image is beyond me.

I propose a little bet between us religious and the atheists.

The only way we can find out if God exists is by waiting until we die.
So everyone taking part in this discussion is part of the bet.
It's religion vs. no religion, afterlife vs. no afterlife.
If there is an afterlife when we die then that means we were right and you guys have to be our footstools for the rest of eternity.
If there is no afterlife then the religious people will have to be the atheist's footstools for the rest of eternity.

Does that sound completely fair? ;)

So, physical proof of a religious story that is featured in three of the main world religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) has been found? 'They' are certainly dragging their heels on making it known to the general public, are they not? After all, if a 'Jesus on a grilled cheese sandwich in Arizona' story can circle the world in seconds, why not the discovery of the Ark of Noah? Perhaps if you could provide a link to the story?

I have come to an interesting conclusion. Atheism is a disorder caused by technology. I don't want to offend anyone.

An independent studied carried out by yours truly (me) points to the conclusion that technology (e.g. Gaming consoles, PCs etc) makes people not give a damn about God existing or not. I am not of this world and this body is being occupied by me. I'll explain later. Anyway, I've been watching human progress for millions of years and recently I've noticed something. As technology takes over, people are so occupied by entertainment devices that they don't give religion and God a thought and they declare themselves atheist.

For some reason, the Third World was a huge failure. They are very poor and have almost nothing. They are more religious because their lives are not fixated on using computers, consoles, phones, etc.

You might call me a crazy lunatic but you'll see me when you cross over.

Yep that all sounds reasonable. given your threshold for evidence, this should stand up with the rest of the evidence youve presented so far. You're a reliable person to carry out scientific experiments, Josephus is a reliable source for history (except the doctored bits), Constantine converted to Christianity... Therefore God.

    Did I get that right?

I don't know, but I think it also mentioned that there would be a great service called Google that people could use to find out stuff instead of continuously asking people stuff on public forums.

    atheists existed before computers/gaming consoles.

Why don't you post the text in the bible that predicted the internet since you seem to know about it? It was you that made the claim after all.

Humm. You mention the googles but you keep throwing out arguments which you could look up on google.

You clearly didn't do any research before making 'Pascal's Wager' arguments or 'God of the gaps' or 'Argument from personal incredulity'. If you used the googles, you'd know how ridiculous they are.

Incedentally you started a thread which purports to explain something 'Why I ...' and then wonder why people ask you questions. Seriously?

I think you'll find he did his research. Well research as he knows it at least.

1 Think of something which supports your predisposition.
    2 Say that thing.
3 Claim you have proved that thing.

Ah Christian Science. So much simpler than real thinking

Well what I meant was that technology causes secularism. Now, if my vocabulary is as fabulous as I think it is, the definition of that term is the active decline of religious practice or something in the world.
New technology is distracting people from real life. I'm typing words on a forum with questionable reputation when I could be outside smelling the lovely smell of clear air and embracing the natural beauty of the world and get that sense of serenity here in the lovely countryside of the west of this particular country we are in. And as I realize I am starting to go ridiculously off-topic, I now conclude my post by saying that there is a major difference between looking at pixels and being spiritually connected to the world around us.

    Reps for Jesus, Amen.

How many times do I have to go over this? I am a Christian. I used to be a Catholic but now I'm making a stand against the Catholic Church. My thread has nothing to do with the existence of Jesus or God or Mary or Santa Claus. It has nothing to do with proving that anything existed. Catholicism is warping Christianity. I didn't want to say this because I thought it would cause trouble but now I'm saying it. Catholicism is evil.

Well if you're going to insult me then let's look at Atheist Science.
Well I can't see it, scrap that idea. Forget all about it. In fact, let's go on a frenzy and start arguing that God doesn't exist, even though you can't prove a negative!
Jolly good logic indeed old chap.

Explain the First Amendment of the US constitution. No technology that you referred to existed at that point in history.

very well. People can make their own judgement regarding your unsubstantiated claim regarding the internet being predicted in the bible.

Google it. I read it on a website. It must be on many websites. I'm not the one making the claim.

Why do you keep telling me that you're not Catholic? I know. Your arguments from ignorance/incredulity and Pascal's Wager don't work for christian god either.

Also this is the 'Atheism/Existance of God Debate' thread so the existence of god and jesus are fairly relevant in here.
Well if you're going to insult me then let's look at Atheist Science.

whether you read it on another website is beside the point. It really isn't much to ask to provide the parable so others can read it for themselves.

Evidence: Well there's Jesus, witnesses, evidence of design, human conscience, human freewill, things don't happen by themselves etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Evidence: God doesn't exist. Why? For the sole reason that I haven't seen him. Just like I hadn't seen all of those fish who were thought to be extinct but they were found alive. Psst, I didn't want to say this out loud but there are huge mysteries surrounding our origin, our conscience, our special emotions and we'll never be able to find out where we came from but for some reason we totally reject the idea of 'God'. Don't tell the Christian scientists or else we'll lose this argument.

I think that pretty much sums up a Christian's reason for believing and an atheist's for rejecting.

Wrong and wrong. The Bible makes the claim that Jesus existed. If I tell you about the Bible's claim, I'm not the one making the claim, now am I?
Like I said, I read about Jesus' prediction on another website. I didn't work out that he predicted the internet, I just spread the information.

Two against one and you still can't prove me wrong.

Yeah. That's not an argument made by anyone on this thread except you though. That makes it a 'straw man' argument.

It also uses the god of the gaps argument. You're using that one a lot today. Do you even know what it is?

you just described atheism as essentially being a rejection of the "God in the gaps" argument. What's unreasonable about that?
