    I don't think belief in god is something you can choose, you either do, or you do not. You could choose to fool yourself (or more likely, other people), and perform an outward charade, but any half competent god would know that it was a charade.

    I am. Though I wasn't implying that because Mr Pudding might consider his problem as a bit like the lotto that the Christian faced with pauldlas button would consider it the same way. A pragmatic decision is not the same as faith.

    Yes, I think that is what I was trying to say, so, halleluja, I agree with Absolam. I also agree with the person who said the succinct Absolam was easier to discuss with :D
