CAN 27% and Gran lime

can is ammonium nitrate with calcium added as some guys back in the day liked to use AN as bombs which makes it into a compound that won't blow the bejesus out of you mixed with diesel and 1 or 2 other things.. An will lower the ph slightly and would regard can as more so ph neutral than a soil conditioner? Though prob depends on 10 different things also.
N is the biggest limiting nutrient to crops then p's and k's come into play as they're next, you will get a response to n but it depends on the rest of the nutrient profile how good that is as soil ph is a balancing act that affects availability and simply how much actual content of p/k and every other nutrient there is there. Nitrogen and sulphur amount a few other minerals are not stable in the soil and will be lost over time as in if you apply 100kg of n at the start of the season the crop may only use 45-50kg of that the rest being lost vs using 3 splits of n at 30/30/40 should get this up to 55kg+.
A poor example would be measuring a new car at 100% mechanical condition and measuring the exact volume of fuel to get to work each day vs when it has 50k miles on the clock putting in that same amount won't get you to work but depending on how well it was look after will say how close you get.
