I know of the grey/blue Phoenix Park one - what was the other?
Yea that was the Cork based car. There was a 2nd UK reg car in Malahide for a while but can't remember the colour. It was years ago.

What would the VRT be on a Veyron? €500k?

What about the Cork car then? I didn't think they were the same car.

Same car. I remember at the time it was in the papers that a Galway dealer had imported the Veyron for an Irish buyer from Cork (the owner of Cash & Carry Kitchens I think). Stayed here for a few months and did the Phoenix Park and Top Gear Live shows, seen around Dublin a few times after (Malahide mostly) and then went to Spain.

I think that is fully correct.
He actually bought it at the Galway races as far as I remember.

And as far as i know he tried to cut a deal with revenue to register the car here but they wanted full VRT for the car. I think he offered 250K but revenue were looking for 500Kish - so he told them take it or leave it and thats why the car is now in Spain :(

As VRT is recognised illegal by Europe why didn't someone who has that much money just challenge it through the courts?

It would be time consuming and who wants to make lawyers rich ? Anyway vrt isnt illegal and we arent the only place that have it . Do u really think simi would not have gone to europe if it were ?

My bad. Never knew it... Nice to see that there are some rich people in Iraland but pity all their cars are abroad.

Remember when I saw photo of Enzo somewhere in city centre and other one in some garage around Dublin. I guess all those cars gone to UK :(

They were never registered in Ireland, the truth is if they have to worry about the VRT then they are not really rich.

Wow, the Murcielago has not aged well at all.

Can't say I agree with that. I think it looks great, they could release it today and get away with it.

Things have been getting busy around Worthersee the last few days and for the first time all week its been dry for 2 straight days. Level's of the cars around is going through the roof and seems like the bar is being re-set every hour in terms of the most insane and cool modded cars rolling in
