Mayweather did what he had to do. People looking for a punching contest were never going to get that. Manny did what he could but he's past his prime (which sounds silly since Floyd is older but it matters more for the aggressor)

Mayweather with a fairly conclusive win I thought. He was holding as much as ever and he is a dislikeable guy but he is just very very hard to hit and Pacquaio was nowhere near his best tonight.

The usual stuff from Mayweather.

He's an absolute nightmare to fight against and he wins fights on the back of it. Makes awful viewing. Some quality in his work when he chooses to fight on the front foot but its sporadic.

The fawning over his 'defense' (say it like an American for effect) has me weary.
