I wonder what the other Irish stag crowd he mentioned did.

Hopefully some of them knew some actually history and told everyone else to stay well clear of them. Wearing a Hitler mask, swastikas and other Nazi paraphernalia trash in Prague is a good way to actively seek trouble. Probably what these total pathetic apes were after tbh

If these guys had dressed up like generals from the Rwanda massacre in 1994, no one would bat an eyelid - but the Jewish movement won't let us forget the much worse murder of wealthy white people 75 YEARS AGO!!!

Time to move on and let go.

There are far worse things happening now to worry about.

Do you think that Hitler and the nazis are only reviled by jews?
How about other non "aryan" groups who were persecuted, tortured and exterminated, e.g. gypsies, homosexuals, slavs, those with mental and physical handicaps, dissenters and regular right-minded people?

    I totally agree with you.

Depending on what source you use around 250,000 Roma were killed.

At a conference held in Berlin on January 30, 1940, a decision was taken to expel 30,000 Roma from Germany to the territories of occupied Poland.

In 1937, the Roma were classified as asocials, second-class citizens, subject to concentration camp imprisonment.

(Source Donald Kenrick and Grattan Puxon, The Destiny of Europe's Gypsies, (New York: Basic Books, 1972), p.72)

You can have poor taste, bad taste or no taste. What these Cork lads did doesn't fit into any of these categories.

Would you really like to marry someone who thought wearing a Hitler was a joke?

    I pity their future babies.

Good publicity for the bar owner. If it was so bad why weren't the police called and they arrested?

How is it possible to trivialise such an evil and destructive period in our history by making and selling such rubbish??

Hey Hans, you're right about one thing - I am fully grown. If you or Jimmy want to repeat what he said to my face, I'll happily PM you my home address or arrange for you to say it in public in my presence. The reason I only reported the post is because the last time I told a poster what I thought of them for a similar comment I got banned.

Heil Hitler is a grossly offensive comment, not a wise crack or a joke.

Hardman. Do you go around bating all the youngfellas who run around at halloween in their SS uniforms ?

It is a childish jibe in this context at best. We're not in city center Berlin or Prague here. I think you took Jimmy WAY too literally.

men in the group from Cork verbally abused locals who raised objections; slapped his female staff on their buttocks; and launched into a tirade of sexually offensive comments.

Trouble flared when they donned Hitler masks.

“This was not just insensitive but their abuse of quiet elderly customers who pointed this out was shameful and their vulgar treatment of waitresses as sex objects — words cannot describe,” Mr Haughton said.
It's a bit silly of the "It was only a bunch of lads having a laugh"/"PC gone mad" crowd to leave out the above for the sake of their edgy/"lad" credentials.

Bunch of guys having a laugh entails none of the above - and they can still have a laugh.
Wearing Hitler masks and swastika armbands in a Jewish area is just a dick move - they wouldn't have done it if it wasn't.

Are people defending it because they genuinely think there was nothing wrong with it or just trying to look all non PC? Not that political correctness even comes into it - plain basic empathy and manners aren't "political correctness". Political correctness is stuff like being afraid to say the word "black" to describe a black person. It's not "Not wearing Hitler masks and swastika armbands in a Jewish district in an area that was greatly affected by the Second World War".

This is the problem with the whole PC argument - those using it have no idea what PC actrually is and use it to defend anything. It was the same with the Jeremy Clarkson debate.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I do know barmaids and waitresses however, who do brush up against men and other such things to get a better tip. Using their advantages to solicit better treatment from lonely men.

The touching of barmaids is common on stags, and they should be told off for it if she's not enjoying the tips they leave her.
The tips are for serving them (whatever the gender of either party is) not in exchange for touching them.

    Wtf.

Czechoslovakia was under nazi occupation during world war 2. So it's a bit more than the jewish movement. Doing it in the jewish quarter just adds insult to injury.

75 years ago is nothing in the wider scheme of things. Some people alive then are still alive now.
It's pretty arrogant to tell people how they should feel and that they should have to move on, when you're not in their shoes. Making the holocaust out to be not that major - are you actually thinking through what you're saying? It doesn't matter if there are far worse things happening - if people find wearing Hitler masks and swastika armbands to be a sh-tty thing to do, that's how they feel.
I think "the Jewish movement" is dead right to keep the memory alive. And "wealthy white people" - wtf?

The anti-semitism definitely seeps through on some of the posts downplaying what these guys did.

The biggest tragedy in all of this is that several national newspapers thought this story deserved to be printed. No wonder print media is on the wane

In fairness, he does like a little bit on the simple side - actrually may neve have finished primary school history, let alone secondary. You'd wonder how often he got carded asking for beers.

Walking naked around a European City is the opposite extreme: nobody gives a **** or thinks it's in anyway crazy.
