    Hello all,
I'm very interested in pursuing an IT/Computing based Career, despite having previously studied outside of this discipline.
I am very interested in IT/Computers generally and I would very much value any advice. I'm currently considering programming.
I would really value advice in relation to the most advantageous postgraduate courses to pursue to obtain a good career in the above.
My background to date is as follows; I studied B.Tech in Civil Engineering to level 7 and then, through advanced entry, went on and complete the B.Eng in Structural Engineering to level 8. I studied both of the above in DIT Bolton Street.

Most third level institutes do a post-grad conversion course to IT for degree holders outside the discipline, such as yourself.

Have a look around the various institutes' websites.
