When we first got Netflix, the 30 day trial didn't require a credit card number and you could keep registering with different email addresses. We pay for it now though, so I don't know if they're still as naive.

Back in the late 90s/early 00s when text messages used to be 10p a go (prepay phones) I remember a loophole to change the message centre number to a specific one, which meant they were all free.

Also remember being able to go in and change the voicemail number on the phone, and used to change that to the mobile number of whomever it was you were go looking to speak to. Then call yourself, and it got diverted to voicemail, = free calls.

While I was in college there was a deal on where you register online and receive a voucher in the post for free chicken goujons. Did that multiple times with different email addresses.

The best part was that tesco actually sold the goujons for less than the value of the voucher, so youd get free goujons and money off whatever else was being bought.

I wouldn't recommend moy park 'chicken' goujons however.

Hold on & let me think about it for 3 seconds

One that's due to be closed though :-(

With 'deduction at source' that one will be gone and if you somehow avoid the DAS there's other options before you end up in jail.
If you do end up in Jail eventually you'll do all the time on the warrant.

Could take a fair while yet though !!!

self scanners at my local Tesco have double chocolate muffins listed as 45c, thing is they no longer sell double chocolate ones in my local store, they only sell triple chocolate for €1.50 each. Been getting away with that one for far too long.

    Tap and Pay.

Tap and pay transactions are not immediately debited from your account and afaik you don't even need a balance that exceeds the cost of the transaction.

€6 in your account, waiting for payday, want to go for delicious pints?

BOOM! Tap and Pay has you covered.

Running the gas of the electricity and the electricity off the gas.

I saved two hundred pounds a year.

Similar to the tap and pay thing. Tesco petrol stations, if you're broke and waiting for payday use the pay at pump option, it debits an initial €1 from your account, you can fill the car with up to €99 worth of fuel.

The downside of both of these is that a couple of days later the total value of these transactions is debited from your account and you could end up with an unauthorised overdraft. But if you're in a tight spot it's like a short term loan. I spent about a year on the dole and these became my fallbacks.

Not a favourite but I laugh at the loophole that allows cyclists to break red lights.

Yeah, they go up to the traffic lights, get off the bike and walk across, whether the pedestrian light is red r green is usually irrelevant.

Then again, if I was cycling and under pressure to get to work I'd probably do the same so I am neutral on the issue.

Do they not just cycle through the lights?

Big Jimmy (your new cellmate) might want a significant other half for that hour....

Big Jimmy is hung like a donkey apparently.

    Think about that.

You don't even get a cell. You sit in a waiting area with a mug of tea and the paper. Often they release you before you've finished the tea and/or the crossword. Heartless pricks. You have to ask to stay a little longer to finish.

Haha I'm not in Trinity, but it's still one of my favourite loopholes :p

I thought it was a glass of port. Went to Trinity myself but never pulled this stunt.

I used to love the old dial payphones. I used to have my friend in New York call the one around the corner from my house and reverse the charges. Of course I'd accept and we'd talk for hours for free. You could also tap out the number on the cradle hooks and get connected for free to local numbers instead of putting in 10p.

Yes, but initially there was only one set of reg cameras, facing the approaching vehicles. People could tailgate, "hiding" their reg behind the vehicle in front. NTM were loosing so much they had to add a 2nd set of cameras to read the reg from the back.
