Whats your favourite loophole?

While avoiding felony offences and sticking to misdemeanors or less, what are the favourite afterhours 'Loopholes' that people claim are legitimate

It's ok stream music/movies/tv illegally because you're not actually 'downloading' it?

You can eat biscuits during lent because "Biscuits aren't sweets!?

Eating fish on a Friday for catholics "It's ok, because fish aren't meat"

Not paying your car tax because the fine was cheaper than declaring it off the road (loophole now regrettably closed)

Does anyone have any funny/blatantly untrue 'loopholes' that you have used, or someone has tried to use against you?

Not giving a f*** about anything seems to be working pretty well for me.

Not a favourite but I laugh at the loophole that allows cyclists to break red lights.

This is an old one - but a few years back if you were done for speeding and chose to go to court there was no obligation to bring your drivers licence so the court clerk couldn't process the points. (closed now)

Also if you were caught in the north on a southern licence no points were added. (not sure if that's still a thing)

Justifying watching those beheading videos by saying people need to see how bad they are.

    You like it.

If you dont have a €2 coin for the shopping trolley at Aldi, a Sterling 2p piece will do.

€2,000 Court fine or 1 hour in Prison

Hold on & let me think about it for 3 seconds

Dodging train fares. Most Dublin commuter stations are closed in the evenings so you walk through and if you get questioned just say you got on at Broombridge and they'll sell you the ticket, no fine

Back in the late 90s/early 00s when text messages used to be 10p a go (prepay phones) I remember a loophole to change the message centre number to a specific one, which meant they were all free.

Also remember being able to go in and change the voicemail number on the phone, and used to change that to the mobile number of whomever it was you were go looking to speak to. Then call yourself, and it got diverted to voicemail, = free calls.

Big Jimmy (your new cellmate) might want a significant other half for that hour....

Big Jimmy is hung like a donkey apparently.

    Think about that.

And the chicken fillet baguette and pint of milk provided only serves to sweeten the deal.I use loopholes every day to keep things ticking over, but I'll not be sharing them here, the op has all the hallmarks of the gendarme if I'm honest

No inspector would believe you made it onto a train in Broombridge alive.

I remember heading out in Dublin one night as a student and a garda stopping me for either drinking a can in public or something else I can't remember and asking me my name. I responded with "Murphy. From Wexford" thinking it was the best loophole ever and I'd be off on my merry way.

Well it wasn't. He wasn't best pleased and threatened to throw me in the cell for the night if I didn't produce ID.

Let me off with a warning but my lesson was well and truly learned. I may come up with a better alias.

I can't praise highly enough the trick of obtaining a free sample at the deli counter, running out to put a pair of glasses on, then queueing up for a second go and even heading out again to take the glasses off and put a big coat on to go back in for a third helping. Ooh, I know, it's very naughty. And sometimes I didn't even really like the first sample but that's not the point.

You can't beat an oul wig though. Ladies ones are the best and I always keep several handy. Yes I'm a guy, but let's not get into that right now.

    Jelly SMS For free texts.
    Unsecured wi-fi networks. (A blessing!)
    Disposable email addresses.
Talking your way out of Boards infractions by being a sexy bastard (may not work for everyone)
Being able to demand a glass of wine during a Trinity exam as long as you have your sword with you.
Pretending to be fraped so you can hit on people over Facebook and see what they say ;)
Going out stone cold sober so that when you hit on friends and get awkwardly rejected, you can just blame drink and pretend you remember nothing.
Few more which I'll keep to myself in case someone with authoritah sees this post and closes them ;)
