person needs help

my friend of a friend was approached by a women in need of help. this young woman has no children is in need of emergency accommodation and in the carlow area. where would one source such information at this hour of the night to help her?

Can't imagine there are official services open at this hour
has she tried the likes of Simon or the Samaritans?

And are you sure she's genuine?

If I needed a bed, id hang round the pubs at closing hours. Guaranteed roof over my head.

Probably not much help. But if all else fails, sure as hell beats a night on the street.

sadly they only deal with men There's a men's hostel in town,, but women in trouble can sleep on the street.

Nope,,, the helpline is only open til 10pm. You can't be in trouble after that time in Carlow apparently.

Try the gardaí, who may have emergency contact numbers for homeless services.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that womens refuge hotlines close at such an early hour. Such an important service is a 24 hour need. Try contacting the Gardai, does this woman have no genuine close friends/family?
