Nope if you had just checked their website you'd see there's 2000+ visas left.

Hi, I've a few questions about the CIC application...

    1. The requirements for the Digital Photo seem very specific, would it be ok if I just uploaded a passport photo of me and disregarded all the size requirements like "The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 ¼") and 36 mm (1 7/16")." and "If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch."?

    2. the info on the first post of this thread said that I don't have to download or sign any documents, but the Family Information Form doesn't allow me to just type my name in the signature space, like it does for the other sections. How can I sign this form without printing it off?

    3. When I click on the link for the application for the work permit, It links me to a window saying "Please Wait..." and explains that if the pdf document doesnt appear within the next 15 seconds my pdf viewer is out of date. When I saw this I downloaded the latest version and the application form still doesn't appear after 15 seconds. What's going wrong here?

    1. Not 100% sure, I just took one with my webcam camera and uploaded it.

    2. You don't type in anything. Just leave it blank.

    3. When prompted instead of saying 'Open With' just use the option to save it and then download it.

    1. Ok I'll just uploaded the photo I already have on my laptop then.

    2. Cool thanks

    3. I don't get prompted. I click on the Application form which links me to a new window with the "Please Wait..." thing

Hi just wondering if anyone has any idea what the procedure would be if the visa did not arrive before leaving for Canada. I have a flight booked for the 17th of May which was booked a while ago. I have my application sent in but I know it cant take up to 6 weeks.

Got the CAL today. I have a question about the Garda cert:

Mine is dated 6 January (I was trying to be organised). Is there an official three month limit? I've seen it mentioned here, but haven;t seen any mention on IEC sites. If I submit the one I have now, is it likely to be refused? If it was refused, would that just delay the process or would it end my application?

Thanks in advance if anyone can answer those.
Quoting this to see if anyone can help

Last year i was waiting more than three weeks it just takes time some can be waiting a month the longer you wait the better as you can get the other things sorted for the next part of the process. Good luck.

Thanks for that. I have just been getting anxious seeing everyone else get theirs. Thanks for your help. You're right, the longer it takes, the better cause I'm still waiting on my certs from the FBI and Japanese!

Still No CAL, but I have a question. For the CV that we have to upload for the CAL does it have to be the exact same as the Stage 1 CV? Because in my one that I uploaded for my Stage 1 I didn't put in my work experience since I never had any work experience so if I do get a CAL I was wondering should I add Work Experience and just put "No Previous Work Experience" or just upload the Stage 1 CV.

do you need a police clearance cert from australia if its your second time applying. i was in canada with a working holiday visa in 2012. so i sent the cert that time but have not lived anywhere since canada in 2012

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering what happens if you misspell something on your work permit application? I rather stupidly misspelled Dublin as 'Dulin' on the IMM1295 form and only realised having already submitted it.

Will this effect my chances of getting a work permit at all? Should I email somebody about it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Do you have to fill out both forms in Adobe Reader or can you download, print, fill out by hand and scan and upload it?

The actual Visa form has to be filled in electronically as there is a validate button at the top that will create a code when you finish and save the form. The family form is up to you how you fill it in, it can be printed and scanned or filled in as you type on the PDF.

For the family one which is form IMM5707 for the children section can I put in my brother in this or is that just for your own children?

I recently filled out my IEC application, after I submitted it I noticed that I put my first name in twice and forgot my surname, I contacted them to let them know but they haven't responded, will this affect my chances and can I just start a new application?..I've already paid the 150 dollars as well. Also I need a police clearance from the UK also, where do I do this, thanks any information will be appreciated so much

No just your Mother and Fathers info will do and you only fill in if you have kids, no need to include Brothers or Sisters its not asked for.

Hi everyone I am having a big issue with the IMM1295 form. There are sections which does not apply to me for example previous employment or current employment etc... I put N/A in all the fields but it doesn't work after I click on Validate because it says that you need to add numbers in the year and month fields. Can someone help me fill out this form? Thank you. Also for the IMM 5707 what do you put in the applicant field is it my own name?

    Hey folks,

Just wondering about uploading documents to CIC can you stop and save like with the kompass account or do you have to put the lot up all in one go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36 clopow

Finally got the CAL. Anyone who's been waiting for 3 weeks, hang in there!
    Damn, those forms suck.

No you dont have to upload all at the same time, you can upload as you go along and when all is complete just proceed to the end.

Anyone get their POE yet from round 1? I know a lot of people from England who got theirs in a week so wanted to know if its the same here as well?

Hi just wondering about the family information form on the MyCIC account. On the back of the form it says it should only be filled out by people holding a passport from the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia, Russia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Just wondering if I have to fill this section out at all or do anything here to be able to submit the application?

    Thanks :)

    Guys need some help

The Cal is valid for 14 days, does that mean we only have 14 days from when we get our cal to upload the cal and all other supporting docs for stage 2?

It's says the mycic account is valid for 60 days so it's a bit misleading.

I need to complete a medical and won't get it done by the 14 day expiry of my cal

Hi, yes you have to upload and pay within 14 days. However when you login to MyCic and continue your application you can also upload a letter of explanation. So what you can do is ask the place where you are getting your medical done to write a letter saying that you have went and that you are waiting and upload that to MyCic. Best of luck.
