I haven't found them slower lately tbh. Ordered a few items on the 4th, they were sent on the 5th and received on the 9th. Then ordered another item last Sunday that was delivered on the Tuesday which was super quick, all with the 4-5 day super saver delivery.

I've had sellers on amazon disguise the fact that they ship from china. that might explain the delivery date

Yep, sellers have 48 hours to ship a confirmed order but this can be adjusted its called the "handling" time basically sellers can chose to enter 10 days if the wish which will allow them 10 days to prepare the order before having to ship the item. That way they dont get penelised.

so is the seller actually amazon or is it a third party?

And Amazon sold items are more or less immediately processed for dispatch if in stock

i was caught out by them once. I left them bad feedback (which really annoyed them) and also got a refund as i was sick of waiting.

That wasn't the case with feedback I wanted to leave. Amazon won't let you post feedback if it's below 2 stars. It makes you contact the seller, which I did in that case, who were frankly, quite abusive and unprofessional. So feedback in that instance was pointless.

i had no problem leaving 1 star feedback. maybe it was because i had started a dispute

Was it been delivered by Asendia by any chance?

I have had 1 item take around 8 days from them to delivery it from Amazon and they lost my next order but got a refund and free 2 day delivery on my next order.

No idea who Asendia are. Are they a seller on Amazon? I didn't see any mention of them on either package I received.

Both of my packages were sold by Amazon (no third-party involved). Both packages arrived a day later than the estimate. And the 2nd package had a whopping 8-working-day estimate anyways.

    What a rubbish service.

They're just a delivery service like An Post would be, Not a seller, It would say who they used to dispatched your items in your dispatch email, I asked because I ordered 2 items in March and they used Asendia to post them, First item was a 2 week wait when with An Post it was only 4 days then they lost my 2nd order

Also quite fast delivery lately for me.

Placed 3 orders last week all using "FREE Super Saver Delivery", last order placed on Satuday, shipped Sunday it arrived today, only 2 days, the other arrived today too, 2 days earlier than expected.

I placed an order on April 16th, today (6 days later) they finally dispatched one of two items with an expected delivery of Wednesday 27th. 6 days to dispatch items that are in stock and sold by Amazon isn't what I'm used to.

My last order was dispatching for more than 7 days and the current one has been dispatching for 5 days with no sign of movement on it!

Amazon are hopeless for dispatch and delivery times and their customer care are absolutely no help at all with these issues, they might have staffing issues or they maybe only dispatch goods on a few days a week?

    I'm experiencing the same delays-
ordered on the 9th all in stock delivered on the 20th

It conforms with the expected delivery date I got in the email, but they seem to be taking up to 6 days to dispatch the items.

I was wondering are they shipping the items in to Ireland by the container load and then posting them in Ireland. Mine had an An Post label

Amazon has become poor lately. The main reason for doing this is to make you pay for quicker shipping.

Some how I doubt it. I reckon they just needed to cut costs and reduced the number of shipments to Ireland.

Their express delivery to Ireland is stupidly expensive, and I don't know anyone that would pay for it except for an emergency.

Using the free delivery option and I have never had an in stock item take longer than 24hrs to ship. I get everything delivered within it's estimated date or sooner 100% of the time.

And when I used the free Prime trail it got even better with 24hrs from orders being placed to having them in my hands.

In saying that all this has happened since I stopped using An Post, they are the ones that are slow. I get everything sent to PM in Belfast and sent down the same day.

Delivered on April 29th, so it took 13 days. By Asendia, so it looks like it came from Switzerland (?).

    - Both items were in stock, sold by Amazon, and I chose 'free' delivery. It's not horribly slow, arrived on the 10th working day, but much slower than it has been.

Game changing now the reduced cost for two day delivery for Ireland. Will be cheaper than the Prime and ParcelMotel combination
