It's her mistake let her pay the consequences.

    She has.

It's not really enough for you though is it? You're a bit of a sadist and want people to suffer. That much is fairly clear. You'd much prefer that they be held in barbaric, rat and disease infested conditions and be subjected to routine torture and violence than be incarcerated in more humane surroundings. If they were jailed in a clean cell with a bed and 3 meals a day you'd be beside yourself with rage exxagerating that they are living in palatial luxury. You'd make the mandatory reference to taxpayer expenditure too. If they were kept in abhorrent conditions you'd be thrilled and would sneer and call anyone who voiced opposition to their treatment a bleeding heart.

Do you know how to avoid ending up in that situation?

I don't want anyone to suffer, saying that i also wouldn't like to see a convicted criminal get special treatment.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,152 ✭✭✭noway12345

So what do you want? If not special treatment then an amnesty for everyone convicted of smuggling drugs?

I like to take it case by case.

Some want to see her raped and tortured. Some sort of sick fantasy. There's something wrong with this sort of person. Something missing in their lives or in their heads. Disgusting human beings.

She knew what she was doing.

She knew what would happen if she got caught.

She made a concious decision to break the law anyway.

Also, Any evidence she has been tortured or raped?

She didn't know what she was doing and didn't know what would happen if she got caught. No evidence that she has been raped and tortured, I was saying many sick people like those on this thread would like to hear of that.

I think egginacup was saying that's what people on this thread hope has happened to her. Sick, twisted people.

Nonsense, she went over to Ibiza with dreams of her looks paying her way. Ran out of money; decided working wasn't her style; hung around with dangerous dealer types who were happy to pick up the tab; willingly took the risk for a cash lump sum to keep the dream alive on her own terms for another six months.

    No ****ing sympathy tbh.

The Bali nine story got me thinking of the Peru Two and their arrest for cocaine smuggling. Are they languishing in a Peruvian jail? And what would have happened to them if they were caught in Indonesia?

    Just wondering...
    they'd be executed....

Yes quite clearly, she didn't know what she was doing when she was jetsetting around the world on overnight stays with bags of drugs for a price, she clearly didn't stop to think of the ramifications of what would happen to her should she get caught..........she seen dollar signs, bling bling. Now she is seeing 4 walls daily which is good enough for her.

She was a naive child, she didn't know. She's been punished, only sickos are looking for her to be tortured.

    @noway12345,

Whats your opinion on all the British drug mules that were caught by the Irish Navy in recent years with all the cocaine from South America?.

One of the men was 71 and just last week was sentenced to 10 years for it.Should we be saying 'Aah the poor fella is a pensioner, let him free'?

Are they any different to Michaela?.

Who is looking for her to be tortured? Please show where anyone has said they wish her to be tortured and any proof that she has been.

    not naive at all.

Nobody is looking for her to be tortured. just that she finishes her sentence like every other criminal

I have a 2 1/2 year old son, he knows to take of his shoes off before he comes into the house....this **** is exactly why people are getting lenient sentences and repeat offending cause they actually find naive simpletons who believe their stupidity.

I'd have turfed her in jail for 20 years and wouldn't have batted an eyelid.

This all too obvious mate, you need to be a little more subtle.

agreed, but not enough. but you didn't address your ridiculous statement about her not knowing what she did or the consequences should she be caught.

read the article linked above, im sure you'll still find a way to disagree, such is life.
