Seemed to go reasonably well last year - JaMarcus did a good job at posting the first number of picks once it had been on Gamepass.

As long as whoever is commenting on the picks is posting after the live feed on Sky/Espn/NFL network and not when they are rumoured then it should be ok right?

Actually maybe posting any Twitter rumours/predictions from the likes of Schefter or La Canfora on the night should be banned. Reaction fine, stuff like 'I'm hearing Bottles could be next off the board for Jags' - not so much

If he gets by the Browns, I dont think yee will even need to trade up to get him.

maby but the browns are at 19 as well if they dont get him at 12 surely they have to take him then. also id say the chargers would have a look at 17 going by the rumours. and the texans actually theres a lot of teams in there id say we would have to trade up but 20 to 14 or so shouldn't be to bad a trade

Honestly it really doesn't bother me either finding out on Twitter or elsewhere before Goodell announces it, you find out in less than a minute away, nothing to lose sleep over.

The only thing that bothers me is when one of the experts who already know from their sources who's getting picked, acting all coy on TV going "Hmm if i was to guess who's getting picked here, it would be Manziel" and then sitting smugly on TV after their "prediction" is correct.

Schefter did this multiple times last year, even after being told not to. It is pathetic how badly these guys needs the attention of getting the scoop. They're like the internet commentators you see getting off on posting a "First!" comment.

That's the point it's these idiots thinking they are fooling the world into thinking they are brilliant prognosticators!!!. Make your prediction and be done with it. This "look at me get it right" BS after being told before Goodell announces it makes me wanna puke.

Instead why not have Mayock or LaCanfora just tell us all before Goodell does. Enough with the crap of thinking people are not seeing right through you.... morons.

I forgot about the Browns second pick! ya like you said, the trade up to 14 or so could easily be done. Maybe target SF as they are probably willing to move down.

April is 'Liars month' don't forget. Wouldn't believe anything being spouted off this week.

in fairness that guy has been pushing mariota to the eagles since pretty much day one i dont think its a coincidence that he mentioned pick 20 there

Interesting to see how trading into the top 10 has worked (or more to the point not) for teams..

Edit: hmm.. I had a picture there from PFF but it's gone. Nothing to see here :pac:

Yeah Mayock's antics annoy me big time too. Clearly has a monitor on the green room showing him players celebrating ect having received a call from the team on the clock. Takes away a lot of the excitement.

Also I don't see a chance in hell Mariota doesn't go top 5.

Mayock has Mariota, Gordon and White as his #1 QB, RB and WR. Is it just me that thinks he is trying to be different? Winston, Gurley and Cooper are far better than each of those.

I like White more than Cooper and Mariota more than Winston personally.

Gurley is in a league of his own at RB though imo. Agreed there.

if i remember correctly he suddenly changed his mind and decided the jags where going to pick blake bortles a min or so before the pick that was when people started catching on because it was absolute bull****

I watched the 2014 draft again at the weekend (hectic social life!). Mayock said don't be surprised if they take a QB here, a QB that's not Johnny with this pick. That was after he went on about other key positions. Seemed to slow down on the mystic meg stuff in the second half of the first round.

Hoyer is gone to Texans. If I was the Titans I'd jump at that.

Am I the only one thinking it'll cost a good bit more than that?

two firsts in this years draft one of which is at 12 is a great haul i can't see anyone giving more than that

I know the Redskins got fleeced but they gave the Rams 3 firsts (one which was #6 ) as well as a second rounder. This is supposedly now seen as a mark to go off by teams.

Going to take a bit more in today's NFL imo. Unless the Titans are desperate to move.

the rg3 trade was marked as insane at the time and is proven itself to be so. there where also other factors at play at the time, people believed that the rams would draft him not many seem to see the titans doing so, also rg3 was seen as the future a qb that could run like vick but also throw like a pocket qb mariota is not seen the same and a lot of teams have acknowledged that he may not start for them day one.

the rg3 trade is no more a benchmark than the herchel walker trade was

Its always hard to say really but I think you're underselling how big a jump it is. Last year the Bills moved only 5 spots and gave up two firsts and a fourth rounder.

The fact the Browns are making a bigger jump to no.2, taking a franchise QB and are only giving up two picks outside of the top 10 means I'd be expecting more to be honest.

Call me crazy but Mariota to me has Aaron Rodgers like upside. You're moving up for a franchise QB and I reckon he's more respected by NFL scouts then the media seems to believe. Titans can at least get something for 2016 out of them imo.

here's a handy trade value chart, not sure accurate it is but going by this they'd have to give #12, #19 and a second round pick(likely to be in next years draft I'd say)

No point in Cleveland having 2 firsts again anyway. They'll always find a way to mess up.

Coming away from the first round with Gilbert and Manziel. Ugh. Imagine being a fan of that organisation.

It's like they suffer from a lack of oxygen or something when draft week comes along. In 19 years of 1st round draft picks - about 4 or 5 of them are starters/very good players. Given that they had high picks in nearly every draft that's just shocking management.

Imagine, 4 of their last 5 first round picks are Gilbert, Manziel, Richardson and Weeden. Christ.
