    So you own a storage facility and have some difficulties. So you lift a bunch of valuables from the facility and burn the thing to the ground. Or maybe not...

    I'd imagine there will be a thorough investigation to establish the cause of the blaze anyway.

    Might be on RTEs Firefighters programe in a few weeks. Big fires seem to happen when they are recording... Just saying.

    The fire seemed to be on the south side of the building. Which side did you have your stuff?

    I don't know. It wasn't me that brought it in. Moved out of Ireland a while back, so all my stuff that I didn't bring was in there. Not sure if I have insurance either. I was told it was included in the cost, but I didn't sign anything. It's just things at the end of the day, but all my photos and cards and letters were there.

    I'd say your stuff is well gone, I've talked to a few people who drove past it and they said the pictures didn't do the the extent of the damage any justice, sorry :(

    Latest I can see is that the smoke has cleared.....unless the wind has turned and blowing it in a direction that is not visible from here.

    Thanks Polo / Dean. That kind of sucks. I'm trying to remember everything I had in there. Just the pictures and stuff are really sticking out at the moment.

    Can't really see much on the news. Just http://m.rte.ie/news/2015/0429/697579-fire-dublin/. I don't know how it was so bad.

    The owner (I think), or at least the person I was dealing with was such a nice guy. There ended up being like a two month delay in getting my stuff in, as I didn't get to them on time when I was moving out, and left everything in my mum's and it was only brought in about a month ago. He refused to take payment for ages until I insisted - even though I had pre-booked the space.

    I wouldn't say there's any point trying to contact them until they release a statement, I'd say they will need to assess the extent of the damage by lock up and then set up a dedicated helpline to deal with concerned customers.

    Does anyone know how many lock ups they had there?

    from what I recall there is €3000 insurance included when you rent.

    No - I won't get onto them at all yet, as I'm sure they will have enough to be dealing with.
