Trying to root S5 - Philz not loading

I'm trying to root my S5. I've used ODIN to put on Philz Touch cwm recovery. It says it's installed. In ROM Manager I can see there is a CWM Recovery mod installed. But when I try to go into recovery mode it's booting into the default one - which I think is TWRP. ROM Manager tells me CWM is the current recovery but it just won't boot into it. I've tried Philz versions 6.62.2 abd 6.57.8. Because I haven't rooted it yet I can't use ROM Manager to boot into it.

One thing I've noticed is that something flashes up on the screen too quick to read then an android on his side with No File message.

The upshot of all this is that I can't install SuperSU which is what I really want. Even using TWRP I tried to install that from external storage - versions 2.37 and 2.46 but I get signature verification failed on both versions.

    Any ideas anyone?
