Hi - just had new French doors installed by our builder. There is a slight gap that lets air in at the top and bottom of the master door when closed against the fixed door. When we turn the handle and engage the locks it does tighten up. But should there be gaps at all when you simply close it over and don't turn the handle?
    Thanks

The adjustment can probably be refined alittle but to be honest, you will always get the better seal when you engage all the locks.

Mine's the same - im pretty sure it can be improved by adjusting the screws on the hinges... but it doesnt bother me that much. Im just in the habit of lifting the handle when i pull it closed even if i'm not locking it.

Thanks for that. Being a new door I'm probably being a bit of a perfectionist and expectations are high.
