Drove by the Naul side of the airport earlier and saw an ambulance with lights flashing along side it on the apron, passenger illness I would guess.

Jesus! Not sure what to make of that but a 'safe' ending is a good one right?

That evacuation appeared to be very well done and quick.

Aer Lingus EI-DVN is repatriating the tragically deceased Karen Buckley back home to Cork for burial. RIP.

I believe Aer Lingus have footed most the bill for this too, fair play to them and credit where it's due. http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/news/special-flight-to-bring-karen-home-31171791.html?utm_source=indoshare&utm_medium=socialoremail&utm_campaign=indoshare

Fair play to EI, goes to show when you have the green livery this type of tragic story gets you in the headlines, gets me thinking if that was FR would it have even made the headlines, nearly sure nothing like that was reported before by any news agency for Ryanair

Ah let's calm down on the rivalry front for today.

But if you read the actual story then look at the callsign you'll see it was neither of the above mentioned airlines who organised this!

Something Large passed over Dublin 16 about 10 minutes ago. Any idea what it was? Was a jet of some sort. Figured it was an A330 given the racket but couldn't see anything obvious on Flightradar. Any ideas?

Ryanair maintenance jet is outbound from STN. Quite late out. Maybe some extremely delayed pax somewhere in Europe.

Squall possibly? The weather here has been a mix between extreme November and borderline May.

Agree. V northerly route. Maybe to avoid weather or something?

Could be as close as 1 mile from touch down or roughly 300ft above the runway before a go around is mandatory. ( dependent on company SOP's)
