You are saying that. I am saying that if you repeatedly allow children to be in the company of men who consistently behave outside the norm you are increasing the risk to the children.

And by risk you mean abuse, so you are actually saying that. Stop trying to weasel out of it and at least accept responsibility for the crap you've posted.

Do you think it's in virtue of maleness rather than homosexuality that they're more likely to be abusive?

I read somewhere years ago in relation to clerical child abuse some stat that the average child molester in America was a married man with a wife with 2 kids.

And that former priest convicted in Cork molested both sexes .

Count yourself lucky, I seen a Daily show episode where according to elected rednecks in Alabama trangered people go through all those years of transition in order to get access to women toilets.

Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to to get access to more cubicles. Did they mention if FTM is to try and escape the queues that often build up in women's toilets?

Seems obvious the answer is unisex toilets.

Oh I've heard it all. ;)

But yeah, that one is a doozy! Someone's gonna go through all the physical process of transition, gonna risk being ostracized by their friends and family, risk losing their job, their home, and risk abuse and even violence in public, so that they can get into the ladies room and... and, wait a minute, there's single cubicles? What a let-down that'd be :p

Oops, it was actually Canada, it sounded like an Alabama. Apologies Alabama. I cannot posts urls but the journal.ie did a story on it as. A trans woman is protesting a bill that would ban trans women from using womens toilets by taking selfies in mens toilets to show how ridiculous it is.

    Google 'Why can't I own a Canadian?'

This is what you sound like when you say stuff like that. You have to recognise that whatever holy book you follow was written thousands of years ago and that unless you're prepared to follow it to the letter you can't decide which parts you want to impose upon others.

I've had 2 relationships my entire life, am I just a late bloomer, or do I need to have a serious bang-a-thon to catch up before they revoke my gay lobby membership? 'cos I really don't think I've got the stamina :o

Looking at those photos made me realize how vulnerable trans people are. Some hothead of either gender could misinterpret why they were there. Scary stuff.

According to some of our fellow posters its like two a day. Makes you wonder if some people are envious of our lifestyle 'choice'.

I'm going to vote yes, sure what reason would you have to vote no?

I'm voting no simply because so many people in this thread seem to think there should only be the option to vote yes.

Yeah totally get you, that's why I vote for the Scottish National Party in local elections and wear hats on my feet. That really shows people.

You are not a friend of democracy it seems.

The result is a foregone conclusion so my no vote is purely symbolic.:o

I don't believe that, people should be allowed vote no if they want to. The problem is that most of the no voters on this thread have used spurious, made up reasons to try and justify their choice. If they came out and were honest about being homophobic, ultra-religious or whatever that would be fine. But when you see the nonsense being spouted about surrogacy, adoption, paedophilia and so on it's hard to see why those people should be allowed vote.

You're on thin ice with comments like this to be honest.

Sure there are a few fruitcakes, but the vast majority have valid reasons for voting either way.
