    Hopeful. Lonely. Unfocused

Hopeful that I will find a person to give my love to and he will be crazy about me in return.

Lonely because I have so much love to give. But he decided he didn't want or need it.

Unfocused on my work because he is all up in my thoughts!

Can I have more than 3 words just this once?

Dejected. Ugly. Fat. Exhausted. Lonely. Drained. Broke. Paranoid.

I know I am not ugly but I am so self conscious.

Why do we do this to ourselves? We feel something about ourselves even when we know it is not completely true. We magnify it and it consumes us. I do it myself all the time.
Its a constant preoccupation with how other people may see you.

LennyLouLou, 1st off my sincere condolences on your loss.
Its a horrible scary place to be and it will get a worse before it gets any better...
But, and I know this sounds patronizing, It really will get better.
You are mourning a lost future aswell as your lost husband. the hopes and dreams ye both shared for the future are gone.
It will take you time to cope with this, to learn how live without him.
It will take even more time to not feel anger, rage and resentment at the world, at God, at whatever higher power dealt you this sh!tty hand....
It will surprise yourself at how angry seeing other people happily getting on with their lives can make you(Why are they happy and together? When you and your husband were wrenched apart?)
But you will come through it, you will be changed by it.

Theres nothing anyone can say to you now to help you cope that won't sound like plain old BS....
How can anyone else understand? How can they even appreciate whats happened to you, what you've lost and more importantly who?
There's something I learned when I lost my wife....they don't need to understand our loss...
They love us and want to help us cope, we have to understand that and try not to shut out those that care and want to help us.
Don't shut yourself away, accept the help and support of friends and family.
Don't be afraid to talk about your husband, to talk about your feelings and above all don't think you need to grieve to a timetable.

There are some fantastic supports out there, from the bereavement forum here on boards.ie to a fantastic site @ www.widow.ie where people in similar situations share and support each other.

    I'm setting a time - 17lbs before Electric Picnic. I'm hoping that's doable in 19 weeks!

    Best of luck!
