Importing animal bones from uk or us

Hi! I've been looking to collect animal bones for quite some time now. I am particularly interested in the skulls or bones of mice, bats, crows, other birds etc but I am a little afraid of what the law is around importing taxidermy. I found some on etsy and ebay that I'd love to buy but I cannot find irish law documents on this particular topic online.

If anyone could let me know what the laws are or where I could find them, even if you know where I could get these things in Ireland rather than online, that'd be fantastic!

As far as I remember it's legal to import animal skeletons for scientific or educational purposes provided that they are not an endangered species.

The Natural History Museum might be able to give you some advice
