    Hi
I have a 09 Mercedes E200 and it needs new tyres again . I say again cause the last ones lasted just 15k and thats without taking the piss and abusing them . They were got by a friend of my son who worked in the business and were 100euro a piece . The set before that lasted over twice that .
So what i am looking for is advice on what would be the best for the car??
    Brand
    Comfort
    Noise
    Grip
Quality for money and roughly price

    Thanks in advance

    Size?

Do you know what brand the first and second set were, and whether there may be any other factors like alignment/tracking that might explain the quicker wear?

I recently took a set of Bridgestone Turanza T001s off my W211. They were fitted in September 2012 and had done 65,000km which was mostly motorway driving. I rotated them from front to rear every 15,000km to keep the wear levels even. They were all still legal (2.5mm-3.5mm remaining) and probably would have done another 5,000km if I had really wanted to push the boat out. It was only once the tyres reached the 60,000km mark that I started to notice a drop off in wet grip.

I replaced them with a set of Dunlop SP Sport BluResponse. Only 5000km on those so far so far too early to tell how they will last!

225/55 16 is the size on my car (2006 E280 CDI)
