    I'm delighted that Boards is as moderated as it is. It ensures that we never reach the heights that happened on Reddit post-Boston bombing. If you don't know what I'm referring to, look it up. And be terrified about what potentially happens.

    We don't know anything and discussing things without proper knowledge is opening Boards up to so much potential damage and people always forget that this is a relatively small privately owned enterprise, with people that will be held accountable. Not to mention that the family are getting enough of it from the absolute rags of "newspapers" out there, let us not add to it.

    I dunno what to post in here, walking on egg shells.

    Anyhow it's a tragedy for the family. My heart goes out them. One thing is though everyone in Ireland will rally round them regardless of the outcome.

    Its important to be too relaxed about it either..a drunk vulnerable girl stumbling home on her own in the middle of the night is not exactly in a safe position, despite the chances of abduction and murder being low..

    I fucking hate when that kind of stuff happens. When the media are alerted before the family. It reminds me of that father who learned that his son had died over fucking Twitter. Screw the rags. Screw the journalists who are only out to get the numbers and will do it regardless of anyone else involved.

    The links that were previously posted are now dead links. The stories have been removed. A Twitter feed from the scene is saying the police will release a statement tonight when they have confirmation https://mobile.twitter.com/georgiekeate

    The Scottish Police and in particular Inspector Jim Kerr have been astonishingly brilliant here. He was ice cold. " not a suspect". Indeed.

    If people didn't buy the rags they wouldn't print it. They are only giving people what the want. Sick but that's the reality.
