Just saw it take off from Shannon a few minutes ago, some roar and smoke (just age) coming off it.

Flew overhead here in west Clare, nice roar off it! I've heard 747's with less noise.

DL75 flew over at 30,000ft, quite low isn't it?

Depends on many things, e.g. pilots might request to fly lower to avoid turbulence.

    Indeed it is

"There are many ways to celebrate a marriage, but this just might be the most extravagant one we have ever seen.
Two employees of Air Malta got married this week, and the tribute that the airline paid them was to take them up into the sky and draw out the following over the island of Malta itself...................the husband and wife are a pilot and cabin crew member with the national airline – and were on board at the time along with the whole wedding party of friends, family and colleagues."

The German wings crash could have happened anywhere, its not a suicide hotspot or anything, and this plane actually Squaked so there's practically no chance of a reoccurence.

Im not saying one bit there would be a reoccurence but If your like myself and get the alert on your phone about a 7700 squawk,Open the app and see a plane rapidly descending like this did,Then you would start to think.

What also appeared to happen me was that "Airports" in settings was turned of and didn't see any local airports.

I remember Air Contractors had one at Dublin a few years back. It was a competition between it and Ryanair's 732s who were the noisiest. Crazy loud. How times have changed

At least they're not completely dying out. The A380 is an ugly looking fecker.

Completely disagree, I think the A380 is a nice looking plane, especially in the Etihad colours.

No no no, once it looses its puppy fat it will look as elegant as the 747-800 :)

I should add the 380 is very comfortable inside. No real difference in the cabin between QANTAS and Emirates IMHO

They've finally updated the icons for the ground vehicles at DUB. They've been masquerading as small aircraft on F24 for quite some time.

The one that's currently "driving" through the long term car park, is that one of the Cobhams?

Anyone know of a problem at DUB this morning around 11 or after. Noticed on FR quite a few aircraft holding over Kildare & Meath, very much doubt it was due to the volume of arrivals.

    Squawk 7600

LS546 from Lanzarote to Newcastle http://fr24.com/EXS546/604901c

Squak 7600 is communications loss isn't it? What happens in that case?

It was very busy at that time earlier, I think I counted 20 arrivals in about 40 mins earlier and there was a go around because of a bird strike I think, not fully sure as the freq changed on the feed.

Sorry about that, it happens, its when you try to cover as many freq as I do. But in fairness we get a good overall coverage of the goings on at EIDW
